Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones that don’t need stars to shine. The whitewashed villa sits perfectly positioned with views that stretch toward the Aegean, and there’s this immediate sense of tranquility that washes over you — like you’ve stumbled onto something genuinely special that hasn’t been overrun by tour groups yet.

Location & Setting

Gennadi is one of those southern Rhodes gems that most people rush past on their way to Lindos, but that’s actually their loss. Villa Ariadne takes full advantage of this quieter stretch of coast, where you can walk for miles on pristine beaches without dodging umbrellas every few steps. The drive from Rhodes town takes about 45 minutes, winding through olive groves and traditional villages — and honestly, the journey itself sets the mood perfectly. What really impressed me is how the property manages to feel secluded while still being close enough to Gennadi’s handful of authentic tavernas.

The Accommodation Experience

The rooms here have that effortless Greek island charm that you can’t fake — think natural materials, sea breezes flowing through, and views that make you want to linger on your private terrace with morning coffee. I mean, when a place earns a 9.8 rating, you expect something good, but the attention to detail really surprised me. The bathrooms are modern without feeling out of place, and there’s plenty of space to actually unpack and settle in (which isn’t always a given in smaller properties like this).

The swimming pool becomes the heart of Villa Ariadne during the day — it’s not massive, but it’s perfectly sized and positioned to catch both morning sun and afternoon shade. What I loved is that you never feel crowded, even when other guests are around. The free parking might sound like a small thing, but trust me, after driving around some Greek islands looking for a spot, you’ll appreciate having your own guaranteed space. The pool area flows naturally into lounging spaces where you can actually hear the waves in the distance.

  Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt in der Villa Ariadne in Gennadi. Unsere Anreise erfolgte am späten Abend, dies war aber kein Problem, da der Schlüssel in einer Schlüsselbox direkt an der Villa deponiert war. Unsere Gästebetreuerin Lamprini war wirklich hervorragend, sehr herzlich und jederzeit für uns erreichbar. Sie hat uns immer mit tollen Tipps versorgt. Wir waren 14 Tage zu Gast, in dieser Zeit wurde sogar bei Halbzeit eine Zwischenreinigung vorgenommen und es gab noch einmal neue Handtücher, eine Waschmaschine ist aber auch vorhanden. Der Pool wurde 2x pro Woche gereinigt. Es gab rund um den Pool ausreichend Liegen – je nach Bedarf im Schatten oder in der Sonne. Die Ausstattung der Küche war sehr gut. WLAN ist im gesamten Haus und im Garten hervorragend. Die Fernseher verfügen über zahlreiche deutsche Sender. Der Strand ist nur 300 Meter entfernt und man hat vom Haus den Blick auf das Meer. Die Straße hat uns nicht gestört, da sie wenig befahren ist. Man benötigt einen PKW, da fußläufig nicht viel erreichbar ist. In wenigen Fahrminuten erreicht man aber Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Tavernen etc. Es gibt eine große Anzahl an Gastronomie, so dass wir jeden Abend eine andere Lokalität aufsuchen konnten. Der Vermieter ist sehr zuvorkommend. Da unser Rückflug erst am Abend ging und das Haus nicht direkt am gleichen Tag wieder vermietet war, durften wir ohne Zusatzkosten bis zum Nachmittag im Haus bleiben.

  נסענו 7 בני משפחה. הוילה היתה נפלאה! הכל חדיש ונקי ויש כל מה שצריך. ציוד וכלי מטבח בשפע, מגבות חדישות כולל מגבות לבריכה. הבריכה נהדרת והחצר סביבה נעימה מאד. האחראית על הוילה מקסימה ונתנה לנו המלצות נהדרות למסעדות וחופים. צריך רכב אבל בכמה דקות נסיעה מגיעים למרכז הכפר שם יש סופרמרקט ומאפייה וטברנות מצוינות. מומלץ!
