Honestly, the moment I stepped out of the car and heard nothing but waves, I knew this was going to be different from the usual Greek island experience.

Location & Setting

Gennadi beach stretches for miles, and D&R Boutique Villas R sits right there on the sand — not across a road, not behind other buildings, literally on the beach. The southern part of Rhodes is still relatively undiscovered compared to the northern tourist zones, which means you get these long stretches of coastline pretty much to yourself. There’s free parking right on site (which is actually a big deal in Greece), and while you’re definitely away from the crowds, you’re not stranded — the village has a few tavernas and a small market within walking distance.

The Accommodation

The villas themselves are spacious and thoughtfully designed, with that modern Greek aesthetic that doesn’t try too hard. What I really appreciated was how each unit feels private — you’re not looking into your neighbor’s windows or listening to their conversations. The interiors are clean and contemporary, with good air conditioning (essential in summer) and kitchenettes that are actually functional if you want to prepare simple meals. The best part though? Most villas have direct or near-direct beach access, so you can literally roll out of bed and onto the sand.

Beach & Amenities

The swimming pool is nice, but honestly, with that beach right there, I found myself gravitating toward the sea most of the time. Gennadi beach has this mix of sand and pebbles, and the water is incredibly clear — you can see your feet even when you’re chest-deep. The beachfront setup means you can grab a coffee from your villa and be watching the sunrise over the Aegean within thirty seconds. There are sun loungers available, but I actually preferred just laying a towel on the sand and claiming my own little piece of coastline.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.8 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there — it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Couples especially seem to gravitate toward D&R Boutique Villas R, and I can see why. There’s something inherently romantic about having a beautiful beach essentially to yourselves, especially during sunset when the light turns everything golden. The staff keeps things running smoothly without being intrusive, and the whole experience feels more like staying at a friend’s incredibly well-appointed beach house than a typical hotel.   A fantastic place for a vacation!
  The villa has everything you could possibly need, with great attention to even the smallest details. The rooms are spacious, each with access to either a terrace or a balcony. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioners work quietly and efficiently, and blackout curtains ensure a restful sleep.
  The terrace features a large table, perfect for enjoying breakfast in the shade, thanks to the pergola overhead.
  The location is extremely convenient—just a few minutes’ walk to the town center, where you’ll find grocery stores, cafes, and more.
  It’s also only a short walk to the beach, which is peaceful and uncrowded. Everything is within easy reach, yet the villa still offers a sense of complete tranquility.
  The host was incredibly attentive, responding to any questions quickly—though we barely had any, as everything was so well-prepared and smooth.

  Location is fab. Easily walkable to the town and beach and to explore the island. It's a little far from Rhodes town so if you want to be exploring the northern end – this isn't the place for you.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing that was a slight annoyance was the pool being lit up all night. The blue light is quite bright and shines through the entire living area all night. It's on a timer so can't be adjusted – it's on from 7pm to 5am. It's minor in the scheme of things.

  We arrived an hour earlier and the owner responded immediately to our request to check in earlier. The owner also allowed us to check out a couple of hours later without any additional charge. The problem with non-functional set of remote control units for opening villa gates was solved almost immediately.
  The villa is very nice and convenient with modern kitchen equipment and all you need to cook and enjoy your meals, including coffee machine and unlimited coffee capsules. The pool is sufficiently big and clean. The sun roof above the pool was very useful during hot sunny hours. Air conditioning, quality of WiFi, bathrooms, beds, large dining table near the pool, parking for 2 cars – everything was perfect.
  Location is extremely convenient – 300 meters to the Gennadi beach and the same 300 meters to the street with supermarket and fruit market and variety of restaurants. Mama's Kitchen is the one we'd recommend to visit.
  We cannot imagine any single thing we did not like on the villa. We'd highly recommend this property.

  Wenn man Ruhe sucht ist die Lage perfekt. Eine Autostunde von Rhodos Stadt entfernt.
  Lindos, Pefki, Kiotari alles in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Villa. Das Dorfzentrum Gennadi ist zu Fuss in 5min. erreichbar und hat alles was man braucht. Bars, Restaurants, Bäckerei und einen Super Market.
  War eines der besten Ferienerlebnisse seit langem. Danke Dimitri.
