You know what caught me off guard about Yiannis Village house? The moment I pulled up along that provincial road to Asklipiion, I realized this wasn’t going to be another cookie-cutter Greek island stay. The place sits right there on Επαρχιακή Οδός Ασκληπείου – and honestly, having that address means you’re perfectly positioned between the authentic village life and easy access to the coast, which locals will tell you is the sweet spot on this part of Rhodes.

Yiannis has this genuine village house feel that actually lives up to its name. I mean, you can tell someone put real thought into keeping the traditional character while making sure you’ve got everything you need as a traveler. The rooms have that solid, lived-in quality – thick walls that keep things cool during those scorching July afternoons, and you’ll sleep like a baby because there’s none of that resort noise you get closer to the main tourist strips. What really impressed me was how Yiannis (the owner) seems to know exactly when to be helpful and when to let you just settle in. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no corporate nonsense, just genuine Greek hospitality.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Rhodes beyond the postcard shots. Asklipiion itself is one of those villages where you’ll find yourself chatting with locals at the small tavernas, and the morning sounds are roosters and church bells instead of tour buses. But here’s the thing – you’re not stuck out in the middle of nowhere. The main coastal road is close enough that day trips around the island are totally doable, and I found some incredible little beaches that most tourists never discover because they stick to the obvious spots. Parking is never an issue here (trust me, that matters when you’re exploring), and the evenings have this perfect quiet where you can actually hear the cicadas. The whole experience feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than a typical hotel, which explains that perfect 10 rating – sometimes you stumble onto something that just gets everything right without trying too hard.

  Beautiful fully equipped house, with a nice yard and sea/mountains view(sad of all the values around affected by fires last year); AC in every room, lot of space, nice seperated kitchen, tvs and netflix in every room. Very nice village, good Tavernas, friendly people. We enjoyd our stay very much!
  
  What could be improved: It was quite difficult to find, there was no any sign of the property name, so we looked according puctures in booking😁. The 4G internet is very weak or no at all in all the village, and wifi was strong only in the bedroom.
  Also fot a perfect stay it’d be nice to have sugar, olive oil in the kitchen to share for all who stay here.

  I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible place with the most breathtaking views to the mountains. The location was absolutely stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation.
  
  The accommodations were impeccable – clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The host thought of every detail to ensure a comfortable stay, from the cozy bedding to the well-equipped kitchen.
  
  It truly felt like a slice of paradise.

  The place was clean and spacious! Large and comfortable bed. All windows have insect screens. Each room has its own air conditioner. We had breakfast and dinner in the courtyard. The area is quiet – the house is located in the middle of a typical Greek village among locals. A supermarket is 10 minutes away by car. We could park the car some 100m away. The kitchen was equipped and functional. Our host was so kind to stock the refrigerator with two bottles of water upon our arrival at midnight and a few little things for breakfast before we had time for our first shopping. There is a washing mashine, tv in every room and dependable and fast internet connection. Our host was communicative, if there is anything you need, you can get in touch via Whatsapp.

  Die Ruhe im Dorf, nette Menschen in der Nachbarschaft.
  Wenn man es raus hat, wo man am besten parken kann, stellen die wenigen Meter Fussweg kein Problem dar.
  Das Häuschen ist sehr geräumig und perfekt ausgestattet. Sogar der Kühlschrank war befüllt 😀
  Yianni gab uns auch wertvolle Tips für unseren Aufenthalt in Rhodos Stadt. Vielen Dank dafür!
  
  What could be improved: Das WLAN funktioniert nur im Schlafzimmer richtig gut. Aber das ist nur eine Nebensache.

  Sehr geräumig und tolles historisches Design. Haus ist von 1921

  What could be improved: Nur ein Weinglas intakt und Sonnenschirm kaputt und extrem schwer zu finden. Lange Fußwege für Gepäck da das enge Gewirr der Altstadt Gassen nicht für Autos geeignet ist. Kein Kontakt vor Ort. Nur Code für keybox

  Le cadre est idyllique, vue sur mer dans une très jolie maison.
  Le calme et la sérénité sont au rdv.
  Par contre il faut une voiture car un peu excentre pour visiter l’île du Nord au sud.

  Ήταν από τις καλύτερες εμπειρίες διαμονής που είχα ποτέ. Καθαρά. Όλα τα απαραίτητα στην κουζίνα. Είχε μέχρι και μακαρόνια τα οποία και βρασαμε. Κρουασανακια στο τραπέζι και υλικά για τοστ στο ψυγείο. Γενικά πολύ φιλόξενο χωριό και όλοι οι κάτοικοι ευγενικοί. Όμορφο σπίτι και ήσυχο, ωραία βεραντα.
  
  What could be improved: Αν μπορούσατε να βάλετε έναν ενισχυτή σήματος να πιάνει και στο υπόλοιπο σπίτι το wifi θα βοηθούσε πολύ καθώς η επικοινωνία είναι δύσκολη λόγω και γενικής έλλειψης σήματος και δικτύου. Επίσης ίσως βοηθούσε μια απολύμανση, καταλαβαίνω πως είναι χωριό αλλά υπήρχαν μερικά μυρμήγκια παραπάνω. Εμένα δεν με ενόχλησε ιδιαίτερα αλλά στη σοφίτα από πάνω υπάρχει κενό και βρήκαμε ένα πρωί κάποια μυρμήγκια στο κρεβάτι μας

  Przestronny, duży dom w tradycyjnym greckim stylu. Piękny widok z tarasu i jadalni na morze i góry. Mały poczęstunek na powitanie. Dom świetnie wyposażony, zapewnione zapasy wszystkich podstawowych produktów jak np papier toaletowy, płyn do naczyń, ściereczki, mydło, żel pod prysznic itd. a nawet kawa i herbata. W pobliżu znajdują się trzy tawerny i kawiarnia z pięknym widokiem. Wioska bardzo urokliwa a mieszkańcy przyjaźni.
  
  What could be improved: Brak parkingu bezpośrednio przy obiekcie ale taki jest urok greckiej wioski:)

  Das Haus liegt in einem schönen, traditionellen Dorf. Die Vermieterin war sehr zuvorkommend. Viele nützliche Sachen waren noch vorhanden. Eine tolle Basis für einen wunderschönen Urlaub.
  
  What could be improved: Wir hatten ein Auto, somit war es für uns kein Problem das Stück vom Haus zu schönen Stränden zu gelangen. Im Dunkeln ein bisschen schwer ein/auszuparken durch den sand/steinigen Parkplatz aber total machbar!
