You know what struck me first about Villa Stergos? It’s that perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to Rhodes Town to actually do things, but far enough from the cruise ship chaos to breathe. I mean, Kremasti isn’t exactly the postcard village everyone expects when they think Greek islands, but honestly – that’s part of what makes this place work. The hotel sits on Mitropoliti Apostolou Trifonos street, which sounds intimidating but it’s actually this quiet residential road where you’ll hear church bells in the morning instead of scooters revving at 6 AM.

The property itself feels more like staying at someone’s really well-appointed family compound than a typical hotel. I’m talking about those little touches that make you think the owner actually cares – like how they’ve got proper blackout curtains (seriously, Mediterranean sun is no joke), and the AC that doesn’t sound like a dying helicopter. The rooms have this understated elegance thing going on, nothing flashy but everything works. What really got me was the attention to detail with the bathrooms – decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in Greece, and they stock actual quality toiletries, not those tiny bottles of mystery liquid. The balconies overlook either the pool area or you catch glimpses of the sea depending on which side you’re on, and there’s something really satisfying about having your morning coffee while watching the locals go about their day.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize – you’re actually perfectly positioned to explore both the touristy bits and the real Rhodes. The beach is maybe a five-minute walk, and it’s one of those long stretches where you can find your own space even in July. Plus, you’ve got the airport practically next door, which sounds awful but actually means you’re not dealing with those hour-long transfer rides when you just want to collapse after traveling. The Kremasti village center has some genuinely good tavernas (skip the ones with English menus and follow the locals), and if you rent a car – which you should – you can hit Lindos, the Valley of the Butterflies, or even the quieter beaches on the west coast without much fuss. The staff seems to genuinely know the area too, not just the standard tourist recommendations, so don’t hesitate to ask them about where to go. With a 9 rating from actual guests, Villa Stergos delivers that rare combination of comfort, location, and authentic Greek hospitality without trying too hard to impress. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.

  We had a perfect stay at the Villa, it is so easy to get to from the airport and Stravos was very helpful with arranging taxis. The villa is a 3 min walk to the beach and there are local shops and restaurants dotted about. The highlight for us was the outdoor space, it was beautiful, we spent a lot of time enjoying the pool, loungers and outdoor dining spaces. Stavros was an amazing and helpful host, he helped us book taxis to get around the island for day trips and we had a wonderful time. I am sure we will be back!

  Our stay at the Villa was excellent. The pool and jacuzzi, barbecue area etc. were fantastic. Enough space for 8 people. On top of that Mr Stavros helped us a lot with transport from the airport, collected offers from car rental companies and gave good recommendations regarding dining.

  Villa Stergos is stunning, all rooms air conditioned. Large Kitchen, Front Room. Toilet downstairs, bathroom up. 3 bedrooms, main is huge with a dressing room. Outside there is a lovely pool and jacuzzi, seating area where you can sit with a cold beer/wine and watch the planes fly over. The villa is 2 minutes from the town one way and 2 minutes from the beach the other.
  You are under the flight path, so if you love planes this is the place for you. The noise is not a problem, but is a great alarm clock for the kids in the morning :).
  
  Kremasti is a beautiful little town, it has everything you need supermarkets, restaurants, bars and a fabulous Pastry shop (Pana). Tommies bar in the town is lovely he makes everyone feel so welcome, we went every night before our meal for a cocktail or two, highly recommended.

  The villa was amazing, very spacious, looked great, very well equipped, clean, quiet area. The village of Kremasti was lovely, lots of great restaurants and wonderful people. The villa was near the sea front with plenty of places to sit and get a drink or food. Lots of supermarkets around and bakeries and other shops. It was great.
  
  What could be improved: Some of nearby area doesn't look great but this did not spoil our stay at all. Looks like lots of new villas are being built which will look great.
