You know what hit me first about Villa Small Paradise? The name actually makes sense – and that’s honestly rare for Greek hotels. It really does feel like stumbling onto someone’s private slice of heaven, tucked away on this quiet residential street in Ialyssos where you can hear the cicadas over the traffic noise.

I mean, the location is pretty genius when you think about it. You’re basically a ten-minute walk from Ialyssos Beach (the good part, not the touristy strip), and here’s the thing most people don’t realize – you can actually walk to Filerimos Hill from here if you’re into that sort of morning hike situation. The villa sits on Argonafton street, which sounds fancy but it’s really just this peaceful residential area where locals still hang their laundry out and the old Greek ladies water their gardens at sunset. There’s this little taverna called Kostas about three streets over that absolutely nobody talks about online, but the owner makes this lamb dish that… well, you’ll figure it out.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to feel upscale without being stuffy – like, the rooms have this clean, modern vibe but you’re not afraid to put your sandy flip-flops on the floor, you know? The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your time (I certainly did), and it’s got this perfect afternoon sun situation where you can actually read a book without squinting. Check-in was refreshingly normal – no awkward small talk, just efficient and friendly. Parking is right there, which honestly saved my sanity because finding a spot in Rhodes town later was… an adventure.

The 9.3 rating isn’t one of those inflated things either. You can tell they actually care about the details – fresh towels that don’t smell like industrial detergent, decent water pressure, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train. During the quieter shoulder season in May, you might have the pool to yourself some mornings, but even when it gets busier in summer, it never feels cramped. The breakfast situation is solid (proper Greek yogurt, not the tourist stuff), and they don’t hover over you with that aggressive hospitality that makes you feel guilty for sleeping in.

Look, Ialyssos isn’t Lindos or Oia – it’s not going to give you those Instagram sunset shots that break the internet. But that’s actually why this works. You’re close enough to Rhodes town for dinner and exploring (maybe 15 minutes by car), but far enough away that you can hear the waves at night instead of moped engines. Villa Small Paradise gets that balance right, and honestly, after a few days here, you’ll probably understand why some guests come back year after year. It’s not trying to be everything to everyone – it’s just really good at being exactly what it is.

  Maria's villa is a genuine gem in Rhodes, providing a perfect experience for large families. The "small paradise" is not a name, it's a description of the place 🙂 As a family of 6, we found everything we were looking for and much more:
  
  Living space: Spacious rooms with private bathrooms and showers in each room.
  Fully equipped kitchen: Perfect for preparing family meals.
  Private parking: Maximum convenience for getting around.
  Large garden: A pleasant green space with various seating areas for family enjoyment.
  Spacious pool: Clean, large, and with shaded areas – ideal for hot hours.
  Additional amenities: Jacuzzi, ping pong table, darts, box games and pool inflatables.
  
  Maria, the host, thought of every detail: ready towels and robes, separate towels for the pool and beach, toiletries in each shower, coffee, tea, espresso capsules, and even fruits and champagne as a welcome gift.
  The price was more than fair considering the amazing experience we received. Maria was always available for any question or request, which made the stay especially pleasant.
  In summary, Maria's villa is truly a "paradise" for families looking for a perfect vacation in Rhodes. Highly recommended!

  Super we stayed one night before our trip to symi island. The villa was perfect , great location, full equipped. We swimmed at night under the stars around the trees. Maria the host was very helpful. Definitely recommend !!!

  Long distance to shops and restaurants
  Impossible to get a taxi to the villa
  Bikes were horrible, ok for children but not adults
  Too much chlorine in pool, yellow stains on our clothes
  Small fridge and didn’t cool
  Kitchen electronics were useless
  The host lived in an apartment underneath the villa, felt like being in a summer camp with your teacher watching over you.

  Maria war sehr nett, es war sauber, am dritten Tag wurde schon geputzt. Wir hatten alles was man braucht und hätte vergessen können.
  
  Auch sehr nah an allen. Moskitos waren nur abends im Schatten. Aber auch nur manchmal. Sehr viel Spielzeug für die Kinder , vor allem für das Schwimmbad.
  Insgesamt sehr schön.

  Πανέμορφη τοποθεσία που σου δίνει ηρεμία μέσα στην φύση ένας μικρός παράδεισος με απόλυτη ιδιωτικότητα ενώ σε λίγα λεπτά βρίσκεσαι σε εστιατόρια σούπερ μάρκετ φαρμακεία και την παραλία της ιαλυσού !! Η ιδιοκτήτρια φιλική εξυπηρετική και διακριτική ! Ο δικός σου άνθρωπος θα έλεγα
