You know what really struck me about Villa Olympos Ladiko? It’s one of those places where you actually feel like you’re staying somewhere special in Rhodes, not just another resort that could be anywhere in the Mediterranean. The location in Ladiko – honestly, most people haven’t even heard of this little area near Kalithies – puts you right where the locals go when they want to escape the Anthony Quinn Bay crowds (which, let’s be real, can get pretty intense during peak season).
The first thing you notice pulling up is how quiet it gets once you’re off the main coastal road. I mean, you’re still close enough to hear the sea if you really listen, but there’s this peaceful vibe that’s hard to find in the busier parts of the island. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day – and I’m talking genuine recognition, not that forced hospitality thing. The rooms have this authentic Greek island feel without being kitschy about it, and honestly, the beds are way more comfortable than you’d expect from a 4-star place. The air conditioning works properly too, which… well, if you’ve spent a July in the Dodecanese, you know why that matters.
What really won me over was how the place connects you to the real Rhodes. You’re a short walk from some of the island’s best swimming spots that tour groups never find, and the family that runs the little taverna down the hill (I think it’s called Manolis, though don’t quote me on that) makes this grilled octopus that’ll ruin you for anywhere else. The hotel folks will point you toward these kinds of spots if you ask – they seem to actually live here year-round, which makes all the difference. Parking’s never an issue, checkout doesn’t feel rushed, and there’s usually someone around who speaks decent English if your Greek is as terrible as mine. Sure, you’re not walking to major attractions, but that’s sort of the point. You get that authentic island rhythm where your biggest decision is whether to hit the beach before or after your afternoon coffee.

Talo ja piha olivat kokonaisuudessaan erinomaiset. Talossa on paljon tilaa, hyvä keittiö ja olohuone.
Piha-alue ja allas ovat erittäin hienot. Allas on iso, eikä liian syvä lapsia ajatellen.
Aurinkotuoleja on useita ja pihalla on myös suihku sekä ulkotilan wc.
Kokonaisuudessaan erittäin hyvä kokonaisuus.
Oma auto on pakollinen jotta talolta pääsee liikkumaan, toki lähellä on linja-auto pysäkki joten sekin saattanee onnistua, itse ei busseja käytetty.Daniel from Israel – 14 August 2024 (9/10)
