Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Villa Olympos – you know how it is with places that sound almost too good to be true with that 9.8 rating. But this little gem tucked away in Kokkinos Agremos actually lives up to the hype, and I mean that. The location is pretty perfect if you ask me – far enough from the main Afantou strip that you’re not dealing with tourist chaos, but close enough that you can walk to some really solid tavernas (there’s this place called Platanos about ten minutes away that locals actually eat at, which tells you everything). The whole area has this quiet, residential feel that most visitors to Rhodes never see because they’re all crammed into the old town or Faliraki.

What really got me was how thoughtfully everything’s done here. The owners clearly know what travelers actually need – like proper water pressure in the showers, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong. The rooms have this clean, modern Greek aesthetic without feeling sterile, and honestly, the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in anywhere in the Dodecanese. You can hear the sea from most rooms, which is lovely at night but never intrusive during the day. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your downtime – it’s got these great loungers that don’t leave weird marks on your back, and the whole space feels private even when it’s busy. I was there in late June (prime season) and it never felt crowded, which I think comes down to how they manage bookings.

The staff here actually remember your name after day two, which might sound small but makes such a difference when you’re trying to relax. They’re the kind of people who’ll tell you the beach at Tsambika is gorgeous but gets packed by 11 AM, so go early – practical advice from people who live here year-round. Parking is easy and free, thank god, because driving around Afantou looking for a spot in summer is nobody’s idea of fun. The whole place just feels… well, comfortable. Not flashy or trying too hard, just solid and welcoming. If you’re looking for that Instagram infinity pool moment, this probably isn’t your place, but if you want somewhere that feels like a really nice Greek friend invited you to stay at their family’s place, Villa Olympos nails it completely.

  We had an amazing time at Villa Olympus! The location was incredible, with stunning views that made everything feel special. The villa itself was perfect – the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, and the pool with a view was definitely our favorite spot to relax.

  Host gave us a tour of the residence. We loved the pool and view we had. Host left us some wine and water, which was fantastic. Truly wish we had more time there because we loved our little home in Rhodes!

  Tina is the best host ever. I have never experienced such a good service. The villa Olympos is superb. The sun sets from the terrace are amazing. Also Helen and her chauffeur service was great. I highly recommend this accommodation 🫶

  We werden hartelijk ontvangen! Tips werden gedeeld, fruit en water lag al voor ons klaar.
  Ons gehele verblijf hebben we fijn contact gehad, er werd snel gereageerd en meegedacht.
  
  Het huis is prachtig en van alle gemakken voorzien.
  Bedden sliepen erg goed. Airco en rolluiken in iedere slaapkamer.
