You know what struck me first about Villa Oceanis? It’s actually tucked away from the main tourist chaos in Lindos, which – trust me – is saying something during peak season. I mean, most people barrel straight down to the famous Acropolis viewpoints and those Instagram-worthy white buildings, but this place sits sort of above all that madness. You get these incredible sea views without feeling like you’re part of a human conveyor belt, if that makes sense.

The thing about staying here is that you’re close enough to walk down to St. Paul’s Bay (honestly, one of the most stunning little coves you’ll find anywhere), but when you want to escape back uphill, you actually can. The rooms have this authentic Greek island feel – none of that trying-too-hard boutique hotel stuff. Clean white walls, decent air conditioning that actually works (crucial in July and August), and those traditional wooden shutters that keep things cool during the afternoon heat. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details… like, the shower pressure is surprisingly good, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase.

Here’s the local insider bit – Villa Oceanis is positioned so you can slip down the back paths to reach the village center in about 10 minutes on foot, but you avoid that steep main road where tour buses lumber past all day. The family running it has been there for years, and they’ll point you toward the less obvious tavernas where locals actually eat (there’s this one place with the most incredible lamb kleftiko that tourists rarely find). Parking can be tricky in Lindos generally, but they’ve got a few spots, which honestly saves you from the whole “park outside town and walk in with your luggage” nightmare. The 9-star rating makes total sense when you factor in that this isn’t trying to be some luxury resort – it’s just really, really good at being what it is. You’re paying for location, genuine hospitality, and that rare combination of convenience without crowds. If you’re the type who wants to experience authentic Lindos but still have a comfortable, quiet place to retreat to each evening, this hits the sweet spot perfectly.

  The location is good but was a little further from Lindos than we realised so it’s either taxis into Lindos or a 20 minute walk.
  
  What could be improved: It would be nice to have some basics in fridge and bbq coals ready on arrival.
  There is currently building work being done on new properties next door and so we had to listen to JCB’s once in a while. The dust from the site also blew into our pool when it got very windy.

  Beautiful villa in a great location. The villa was large and spacious with fantastic views. Within walking distance of Lindos centre although there was a bus stop just outside the villa to allow you to travel to the centre easily.

  Beautiful air conditioned three bed detached villa. All three bedrooms have en-suites (shower, toilet & handbasin).
  
  Large open plan lounge, kitchen & dining area on lower ground floor leading onto covered patio area with pool table, chairs & table. Extremely well equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine & pod coffee machine.
  
  Lovely garden with outside pizza oven/bbq. Path leads down to lower garden area with swimming pool, loungers & umbrellas. Pool depth is between 0.45M & 1.5M. Views from here over open land towards the sea.
  
  Broadband. Very good coverage both within the house and at the bottom of the garden next to the pool. Speed tested at between 50/60 Mbps and was able to stream live football on the smart tv in the lounge.
  
  Position. Located just on the main 95 road with plenty of parking. Do not be put off by the location just next to the road. This is not a busy road, no traffic noise heard within the property and minimal whilst outside (the cicadas make way more noise!).
  
  Much closer to Lindos than Pefkos, but we are not talking about great distances. Less than five minutes by car to Lindos and about ten to Pefkos.
  
  Property was cleaned, tidied & beds changed half way through our stay, we were here for a week.
  
  Thoroughly recommend staying here, in fact we are discussing staying again next year.
