You know what struck me first about Villa Massari? It’s tucked away in this quiet corner of Haraki where you can actually hear the waves instead of traffic – and honestly, that’s becoming harder to find along the Rhodes coast these days. The moment I walked through their entrance, I could smell that mix of jasmine and sea salt that just screams Greek island summer. The owner, this genuinely warm guy named Dimitris, was there to greet me personally (apparently he does this for most guests), and within five minutes he’d already given me the local lowdown on which tavernas the tourists haven’t discovered yet.

What really sets this place apart – I mean, beyond the obvious four-star comfort – is how it feels like you’re staying at a friend’s villa rather than some corporate hotel. The rooms have this lovely traditional Greek aesthetic, but with modern touches that actually work (decent wifi, proper shower pressure, air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train). My balcony overlooked the bay, and I spent way too many mornings just watching the fishing boats head out before dawn. The housekeeping staff, mostly local women, take genuine pride in their work – I’d come back to find little touches like fresh flowers or my beach towel folded into some origami-like creation. There’s a small pool area that never felt crowded, probably because half the guests are down at the beach anyway. Speaking of which, you’re literally a three-minute walk to Haraki Beach, which is this perfect crescent of sand and pebbles that most people miss because they’re all fighting for space in Lindos.

Here’s the thing though – Villa Massari sits in that sweet spot where you get the authentic Greek experience without sacrificing comfort. Dimitris and his family have been running hospitality in this area for decades, so they know exactly what works. The breakfast spread includes local honey, homemade yogurt, and these incredible pastries his wife makes (I actually asked for the recipe and she just laughed and said “family secret”). Parking is free and easy, which trust me, you’ll appreciate if you’re exploring the island by car. The only minor downside? It gets pretty popular with return guests, so booking ahead is essential, especially for summer stays. But honestly, when you find a place where the owner remembers your name and your coffee preference by day two, where the beach is pristine and the vibe is genuinely relaxed – well, that’s the kind of place that makes you understand why people keep coming back to Greece year after year.

  Un soggiorno impeccabile! Tsampika, insieme ai suoi adorabili genitori, George e Francesca,ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa con la loro straordinaria gentilezza e disponibilità. La casa era perfettamente pulita e curata in ogni singolo dettaglio, offre tutto quello che più si può desiderare.
  Un'esperienza che consigliamo vivamente a chi vuole visitare l’isola di Rodi.
  Inoltre, l’abitazione è posizionata in un paesino vicino Lindos, l’ideale per muoversi comodamente.
  Erano anni che non venivamo accolti in questo modo, forse la migliore ospitalità di sempre.

  Proprietari super cordiali e accoglienti. Non c'era mai capitato prima d'ora di avere degli host così ospitali.
  Casa super bella e pulita,fornita di tutto il necessario per il soggiorno. I proprietari ci hanno fatto trovare dei cibi locali con frutta fresca del loro orto.
  La casa è un punto strategico per raggiungere tutta la zona balneare e per le attrazioni dell'isola.
  La consigliamo vivamente per il soggiorno a Rodi!

  Quest’anno per le nostre vacanze abbiamo alloggiato in questa bellissima casa, che fin da subito ha superato le nostre aspettative. L’alloggio è ben arredato, pulito e fornito di tutto il necessario. Iniziando dalla cucina che è delle giuste dimensioni e ben rifornita, si passa al salotto dove è presente un bel divano grande dove potevano stare sdraiati tutti molto comodamente. Anche le due camere da letto sono bellissime e con materassi super comodi! La nostra bambina era entusiasta della sua camera con letti matrimoniali a castello. In fine il bagno, non grandissimo, ma comunque giusto per il suo uso. Anche l’esterno è perfetto, un tavolo grande per la cena o godersi una birra in tranquillità e una rilassante vasca idromassaggio. Per non parlare dei proprietari che si sono sempre resi più che disponibili, oltre a farci avere le delizie del loro orto. Inoltre la posizione è perfetta, in un paese tranquillo e a pochi minuti da tutte le bellezze che questa isola ha da offrire. Lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque vada a fare le vacanze a Rodi, perché questo alloggio ha saputo darci quel senso di “casa” che non tutti i posti saprebbero dare!
