Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Villa Maria? It’s tucked away in Haraki in this perfect spot where you can actually hear the waves from most rooms, but you’re not dealing with the chaos of the main beach strip. I mean, Haraki isn’t one of those overrun Rhodes hotspots anyway – it’s still got that authentic Greek village vibe where locals outnumber tourists most of the year.

The property itself feels more like a boutique place than your typical 4-star setup. The owners clearly put thought into the details – I’m talking about things like the way they’ve positioned the terrace furniture to catch the morning light just right, and how they’ve managed to keep that traditional Dodecanese architecture without making it feel like a tourist trap. Honestly, the 9.7 rating makes sense when you’re sitting there with your coffee, looking out over the bay toward Lindos in the distance. The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple” – not flashy, but everything works and the beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case in Greek hotels). The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, which is a blessing during those sweltering July nights.

What really sets this place apart is how the staff – I think most of them are family – genuinely seem to care about whether you’re having a good time. They’ll point you toward the little taverna down the hill that doesn’t even have a sign, or mention that the best swimming spot is actually around the rocky outcrop to the left of the main beach. Parking isn’t an issue here like it is in some of the busier coastal towns, and you’re close enough to rent a scooter and explore the southern part of the island without the exhausting drive from Rhodes Town. The only minor thing – and I’m being picky here – is that if you’re looking for a big resort pool scene, this isn’t it. But honestly, when you’ve got that crystal-clear water a two-minute walk away and you can see exactly why the locals chose this bay to build their homes around, you probably won’t miss the poolside crowds anyway.

  Beautiful villa in a quiet village.
  The stay was excellent, the villa was according to expectations.
  The host is easy to reach should you have any questions.
  
  The rooms were clean and there is enough space to relax.
  In the village are some supermarkets which offer the necessary provisions, there are also some restaurants.
  All very friendly and there is a good atmosphere.
  
  It is recommended to rent a car.

  Nice Villa, good location, clean, good facilities and nice pool. Host really helpful. We were 2 families and plenty of space in the Villa.
  
  What could be improved: Small point but the pool sunbeds could do with replacing. Also I don't think the Villa was actually Haraki, rather a small village just outside (Massari) but still a good location.

  Absolut empfehlenswert! Das Haus war super und entsprach der Beschreibung. Es war sehr sauber, sehr gepflegt, alles war sehr hochwertig und in einem super Zustand. Das Haus war super ausgestattet und alles konnte genutzt werden. Die Eigentümerin kümmert sich persönlich um das Haus und um Ihre Gäste. Sie war immer ansprechbar und hat sich bei Problemen und Fragen sofort gekümmert. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und sind der Eigentümerin sehr dankbar. Die Kommunikation war klasse, alles war sehr liebevoll und herzlich. Vielen Lieben Dank aus Deutschland, wir haben dich gern.

  Tolles, sehr sauberes Haus für uns allein mit einem gepflegter Garten. Wunderbar warmer Pool mit Dusche, sehr schöne Pflanzen und eine Garage für den Mietwagen. Absolute Ruhe und Privatsphäre, da sich das Haus am Ortsrand befindet. Die Lage ist super, um die Insel in alle Richtungen gut erkunden zu können. Unsere Gastgeberin Seva spricht perfekt Englisch und war sehr zuverlässig, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es waren sehr schöne Tage auf Rhodos; Danke, liebe Seva, für die Gastfreundschaft, die Du uns entgegengebracht hast.

  Villa Maria is een geweldige plek om even helemaal tot rust te komen, iedere dag heerlijk wakker worden in deze mooie, luxe villa met fantastische tuin. Aan meerdere kanten een balkon zodat je altijd in de schaduw kunt zitten. Schoon zwembad en adembenemend uitzicht op de bergen! Een aangename regendouche, fijne keuken en een aparte washok met wasmachine. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Prettig contact met de superlieve en behulpzame gastvrouw. De villa is gelegen in een rustig dorpje, er is voldoende privacy en je hebt alles in de buurt. Dit was echt een bijzonder fijne ervaring ❤️

  Deze accommodatie is geweldig, ik kan het iedereen aanraden. Voor een groot of klein gezin, alles kan. Wij waren met 8 mensen, dat ging perfect. Het heeft heel veel ruimte en alle faciliteiten!
  
  What could be improved: Het enige minpuntje is dat er geen wekelijkse schoonmaak is. Mocht dit kunnen tegen betaling, hadden we dit graag gehad. We waren er 3 weken, dus dan merk je wel dat het nodig is!
