You know what struck me first about Villa Linda Tsambika? It’s this perfectly positioned spot where you can actually see the sea between the olive trees – and I mean, you’re in Afandou, which honestly gets overlooked by most tourists rushing to Rhodes Town or Lindos. That’s their loss, because this little gem sits just far enough from the main coastal road that you don’t hear the buses rumbling by, but close enough that you can walk to Afandou Beach in maybe ten minutes. The whole property has this authentic Greek villa feel – not the sanitized resort version, but the kind where the owner (Linda, I’m guessing?) clearly lives and breathes this place. When I pulled up, there was this gorgeous bougainvillea cascading over the entrance, and honestly, the parking situation is way better than most places on the island. You don’t have to do that awkward squeeze-between-two-motorcycles dance that’s practically mandatory everywhere else in the Dodecanese.

What really sets Villa Linda apart is how it feels like staying at a relative’s house – if your relative happened to have impeccable taste and a 9.7 rating to maintain. The rooms are spacious (I mean genuinely spacious, not “cozy” which is hotel-speak for shoebox), and there’s this attention to detail that you just don’t see much anymore. The bathroom actually has water pressure – revolutionary concept, I know, but you’d be surprised how many Greek accommodations treat hot showers as optional extras. The kitchenette setup is perfect if you want to grab supplies from the local market in Afandou village, which is this delightfully non-touristy spot where the old men still gather at the kafeneio every afternoon. And here’s something I really appreciated – the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the property, even by the pool area, which saved me from having to trek to the lobby every time I needed to check ferry schedules or restaurant hours.

The location really is the secret sauce here, though. You’re literally five minutes from Tsambika Beach (the regular one, not the monastery up on the hill), which has this gorgeous stretch of golden sand that’s never as crowded as the beaches closer to Rhodes Town. But if you want to explore, you’re perfectly positioned – Lindos is about a 20-minute drive south, and you can reach Rhodes Town in maybe 25 minutes heading north. I spent one evening just walking through Afandou village, and it’s got this authentic rhythm where locals are still living their actual lives, not performing for tourists. There’s a solid taverna called Klimataria just down the road that serves probably the best lamb I had on the entire island – Linda at the villa actually recommended it, which tells you something about how plugged in she is to the local scene. Honestly, with that kind of rating and this level of personal attention, Villa Linda hits that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity that’s getting harder to find on the Greek islands.

  The villa is spacious, very clean and comfortably furnished. You can find everything that you need. It is located in a quiet place. The owner is a super host – very friendly and caring. A fruit plate, some food and drinks were waiting for us on arrival. That was a very nice surprise. The owner provided also a delicious dinner for us.
  The swimming pool was very clean. Mattresses, balls, various inflatables things were available for the pool.
  There are many places to rest outside – deckchairs with umbrellas by the pool and in the garden.
  A wonderfully spent time. I sincerely recommend!

  Great communication from first contact right until we left.Villa facilities were top class and Terry could not do enough for us. Stocked fridge on arrival with fruit, food and refreshments.

  De villa heeft enorm veel privacy. De eigenaar is perfect te bereiken en heel aardig. De villa bevind zich op een goede plek. Je bent zo bij het strand of leuke stadjes. Het zwembad was heerlijk. Wij zouden deze villa zo weer opnieuw boeken.

  Ingen serverad frukost men kylen var fylld med frukt , dricka ,bröd, pålägg, smör och ägg så frukosten fixade vi själva
  detta var en glad överraskning när vi anlände sent till villan och många ställen var redan stängda. Tack för ett varmt mottagande under vår vistelse ,samt för några överraskningar vårt barnbarn fick av Terry

  Villan är rymlig och väl städad,. trädgård och poolområdet var väl skötta med många solstolar och ute möbler, och på baksida pingisbord samt utemöbler. Bil nödvändig för att ta sig till olika ställen men nära till Afandou centrum och Kolympia

  Top Ausstattung und wenn etwas fehlte war der Eigentümer sofort da – ein super Typ !
  Zur Ankunft überraschte uns ein gefüllter Kühlschrank, zwischendurch diverses aus eigenem Anbau und vieles mehr – so haben wir es nich nie erlebt. Danke nochmals an dieser Stelle

  Terry è stato un ottimo oste, la villa è molto bella, c'era tutto quello che ci serviva, la zona era tranquillissima. Addirittura avevamo le uova delle galline a disposizione.

  Willa w zacisznym miejscu.Blisko do pięknych plaż. Gustownie urządzona, przestronna. Kuchnia jak we własnym domu. Na powitanie czekała na nas patera owoców i wino. Gospodarz – Terry to przemiły człowiek. Dbał żeby nam niczego nie brakowało. Przygotował dla nas przepysznego grilla. Codziennie zbieraliśmy świeże jajka z kurnika i otaczaliśmy się cała gromada kotków. Basen to ogromny plus. Do basenu dostępne materace, piłki, przeróżne dmuchańce. Na zewnątrz kilka miejsc do odpoczynku, leżaki z parasolami przy basenie i w ogrodzie. Dodatkowo stół do ping ponga, paletki, karty, książki, itp. Cudownie spędzony czas i bardzo urozmaicony. Szczerze polecam! 🙂
