So I stumbled across Villa Jimmy while exploring this little pocket of Rhodes that most tourists completely miss – Pilona Village, tucked away near Vlicha Bay. Honestly, I almost drove right past it because it’s not one of those massive resort complexes that screams for attention from the main road. Instead, it’s this quietly elegant place that feels more like you’re staying at a well-traveled friend’s beautifully restored home than a typical hotel.

The thing that struck me immediately was how the owners – and I’m pretty sure Jimmy is actually involved in running the place – have managed to nail that sweet spot between authentic Greek hospitality and modern comfort. You know what I mean? Like, the stonework and traditional architecture feel genuinely local (not that fake-rustic stuff you see everywhere), but then you walk into your room and everything just works perfectly. The air conditioning actually cools the space, the shower has proper water pressure, and there’s this attention to detail in the furnishings that suggests someone who actually cares lives here. I found myself noticing little touches like the locally-made ceramics and the way they’ve positioned the terraces to catch both the morning light and evening breezes from the bay.

What really sold me on the place, though, was its location – and I mean the real location, not just “close to beaches” nonsense. Vlicha Beach is literally a five-minute walk down a quiet path, and it’s one of those spots where you’ll find more Greek families than tour groups, especially if you go early morning or late afternoon. The village itself has this tiny taverna (ask about Kostas’s place – he makes this incredible lamb that’s not on any menu) and a little market where you can actually buy decent olive oil to take home. Plus, you’re close enough to Lindos to do the tourist thing and see the Acropolis, but far enough away that you won’t be dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at all hours.

The staff genuinely seems to enjoy what they’re doing – which, after staying at plenty of places where the hospitality feels forced, makes such a difference. They’ll remember your name, suggest actual good restaurants (not just the ones that give them kickbacks), and somehow anticipate what you need without hovering. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, parking is easy and free, and the whole place has this calm energy that made me sleep better than I had in months. I mean, it’s not going to be everyone’s scene if you’re looking for a party atmosphere or need a kids’ club, but for anyone wanting to experience Rhodes the way it actually feels when you slow down and pay attention – this is exactly right.

  If you're looking for a beautiful, complete and relaxing stay than this is it. Not only the house is exellent but you wouldn't find a better host than Stergios! We've been travelling a lot but he is by far the kindest owner ever. Not to mention the delicious food he offered us, made by his wife Vassilis. When we left Stergios gave us some nice herbs, garlic and flowers from his own land which was very much appreciated.
  The house really has everything you need, even for a long stay and the village is indeed small but also very authentic and nice and quite during the night.
  All in all a perfect place to enjoy the real islandlife and still being close to many touristic places.
  We can't recommend Villa Jimmy enough although we would like to keep it to sourselves 😉
  
  What could be improved: Just one personal thing, for me the bed was quite hard but if you mention this to Stergios he comes up with a sollution.

  There were just the two of us, but this small cottage in a village near Lindos can easily accommodate 5 people. Incredible hospitality from the hosts. A cozy courtyard where you are completely alone. Freshly renovated and equipped with everything you need for living.
  
  What could be improved: We were absolutely happy. If we come to Rhodes again, we will stay here.

  Best place to stay in Rhodes. We stay there with my husband for about a week starting at August 15. The house is completely new, and so it is everything inside. It is completely equipped with anything anybody may need: wash dishes, tv, washing machine, air conditioning, varied and multiple tableware, excellent Wi-Fi signal and much much more. Every room in the house is very spatious, and every bedroom has its own bathroom. It is perfect for a family, for a couple, with friends, alone… it is simply perfect. And the garden … the garden is fantastic! The house is in an excellent location, very calm and very close to Lindos (10 minutes by car) and to many beaches. It has also a private free parking. The owners are extremely kind, ready to help and share all about their place. They gave us lots of gifts: fruits and vegetables from their garden, and they cooked Greek specialities for us: best moussaka we ever tried and a delicious dessert. We cannot be more grateful to Stergos and Vasilia. We will come back to continue exploring Rhodes and we will definitively stay at the beautiful and peaceful Villa Jimmy.

  The host is attentive,friendly,did everything to make his guests feel comfortable.

  Stergios bey ve eşi hanımefendi harika bir karşılama hazırlamışlar.. villaya girdiğimizde dolapta soğuk meyve ve içeçek ikramları hazırdı. Çok kibar bir düşünceydi. Sonrasında evde tatil için gereken her imkan mevcut. Ev sahibi Stergios ve sevgili eşi bir akşam çok lezzetli bir yemek olan musakka ikram ettiler. Herşey için çok teşekkürler. Bizim için çok keyifli 6 gün geçti. Tekrar Rodos’a gelirsek adres belli 🤗

  Tout était parfait ! La maison est très spacieuse et très agréable avec un bel espace extérieur très bien équipé pour prendre les repas, se reposer.
  Merci particulièrement au propriétaire et son épouse qui nous ont accueillis comme si nous étions des amis ou de la famille. Nous avons même eu l’occasion de goûter à l’excellente cuisine de Vassilia et c’était excellent. Je recommande donc cette adresse.
  La localisation toute proche de Lindos permet de visiter toute l’île de Rhodes.

  Tutto assolutamente fantastico!!! Stergios è sua moglie sono stati i migliori Host che abbiamo incontrato nei nostri viaggi!! Ci hanno fatto trovare al nostro arrivo ,frutta,dolci fatti in casa e una bottiglia di vino, la moglie di Stergios ci ha deliziati con un squisita Mussaka. La villetta è molto bella come in foto ed è fornita di tutto ciò che serve. Grazie avete reso la nostra vacanza perfetta
