You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places around Rhodes, but Villa Iliousa Grand in Psinthos really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. I mean, when you first pull up (and yes, parking is actually easy here, which is honestly a relief after dealing with some of the cramped spots closer to Rhodes Town), it doesn’t scream “fancy hotel” from the outside. But that’s kind of the point, I think. This place feels more like you’re staying at a well-kept family estate that just happens to have incredible hospitality.

The thing about Psinthos that most people don’t realize is that you’re perfectly positioned between the touristy chaos and the authentic Greek experience. Villa Iliousa gets this balance right – you can walk to the local tavernas where they actually know your name by day three, but you’re still only about 20 minutes from the butterfly valley and those gorgeous beaches everyone talks about. The staff here… honestly, they’re just different. Not in that overly formal hotel way, but like they genuinely want you to discover their corner of the island. The woman at reception (I think her name was Maria?) spent a solid ten minutes drawing me a little map to this bakery that opens at 6 AM – and let me tell you, that tip alone made my entire trip.

What really sets this place apart though is how it feels after a long day of exploring. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that you don’t get at those massive resort chains, and the beds are actually good – like, sink-right-in-and-sleep-for-ten-hours good. I stayed here in late September, which I’d totally recommend because the summer crowds are gone but the weather’s still perfect, and evenings on their terrace were just… well, you can hear the olive trees rustling instead of traffic, which is something you don’t realize you miss until you have it again. The whole property has this quiet confidence about it – they’re not trying to impress you with flashy amenities, but everything they do have works exactly as it should. Even the Wi-Fi was solid, which sounds silly but you’d be surprised how many places get that wrong. If you’re the type who wants to actually experience Greece rather than just Instagram it, Villa Iliousa Grand gets it right.

  Everything! We stay here for a few days with friends.
  Gorgeous place, the house interior is fabulous, everything is new and super clean. Such a nice thing is to have a private pool and be able to swim then you want. Because in almost all hotels the pool you can use till 6pm. And of course the owners! So amazing people! they welcome us with drinks and delicious food. For our celebration they even bring a wine. So thoughtful. Thank you for remarkable stay and wish you the best! <3

  The setting of the villa is stunning, the views are breathtaking. The location of the villa means its incredibly quiet, so peaceful, which we loved. Our hosts were fantastic, so accommodating and welcoming (even chilled beers on arrival!) We enjoyed the pool and the outdoor space, equally, the interior of the villa is just as special. The lighting and thoughtful decor throughout is gorgeous. We really felt at home here and loved our short stay, thank you so much! We will hopefully see you guys again soon! X

  perfect remote holiday villa, yet only a few minutes drive from Psinthos with lovely tavernas. Owners very helpful and came to sort out a few little problems we had straight away. They also had drinks and watermelon waiting for us in the fridge!

  Piękny domek w zacisznej części Psinthos. Właściciele są przemili i bardzo pomocni. Na powitanie czekał na nas drobny poczęstunek. Domek bardzo dobrze wyposażony, czysty i pięknie wykończony. Pozdrowienia z Polski dla wspaniałych Właścicieli ❤️

  Wundervolles Ferienhaus, das den Bildern und somit auch den Erwartungen vollends entspricht. Die Gastgeber müssen aber auch unbedingt erwähnt werden, da sie einfach herzlich, hilfsbereit und schlichtweg toll sind. Hier kommt man gerne erneut hin!

  הכל!! וילה חמודה עם חצר ענקית עם מיטות שיזוף ושולחן וכסאות ובריכה מרוהטת בספה ופוף שולחן ו4 כסאות מכונת קפה (לא קפסלות) מקציף למילשייק כלים וסכום כירה חשמלית מקרר גדול. מכונת כביסה חדרים גדולים עם ארון ומגהץ בחדר מקלחת גדולה. בריכה 3/5 נוף כפרי עם אויר טוב ושקט. הוויפי היה קצת בעייתי אבל הם יסדרו את זה והכי חשוב הבעלים אנשים מקסימים במיוחד על כל שאלה ענו ובאו הבת שלי לא הרגישה טוב היא ישר באה וחיפשה לנו רופא ולא נרגעה עד שמצאה וכל הזמן שאלה שהכל טוב. מומלץ בחום.. המיקום נמצא כ 13 דקות מפלראקי וכ 35 דקות מהעיר העתיקה וכ 24 דקות מהשדה תעופה יש סופר בפלראקי ויש מכולת קטנה 3 דק משם. למי שמחפש שקט עם המשפחה או הבן זוג מומלץ בחום.. המיטות היו נוחות מאוד

  Die Unterkunft ist noch sehr neu und hat eine sehr gute Ausstattung.
  Kaffeemaschinen, Herd, Backofen, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine ist alles vorhanden. Ebenso wie alle Utensilien zum kochen.
  Die Betten sind sehr bequem, alle Räume sind klimatisiert und haben große Fenster. Jedes Fenster hat ein Außenrollo.
  Am Haus gibt es einen Pool, ein Bereich für das Sonnenbad und ein Bereich zum Essen.
  Stühle reichen auch für Besuch.
  Parken ist kein Problem, Platz für vier Autos.
  Wir konnten von hier viele Strände in 18 bis 30 Minuten erreichen. Im Dorf kann man gut essen gehen. Es gibt Supermärkte in der Nähe.
  Kann man super mit oder ohne Kinder machen.
  Mega Sonnenaufgang!!!
  Rehe und Hirsche gibt’s morgens zu sehen.

  Erg rustig gelegen locatie met privé zwembad. De villa is van alle gemakken voorzien. Dit is een toplocatie voor als je helemaal even tot rust wil komen met een mooi uitzicht.

  Der Blick ist sehr schön, man hat seine Ruhe, sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeber, alles sauber und sehr neu. Kein touristisches Örtchen mit diversen Tavernen. Man erreicht alle Ausflugsziele sehr gut sowie auch den Flughafen mit dem Leihwagen.
  
  What could be improved: Da es sehr neu ist gibt es noch Kleinigkeiten die im Haus „fehlen“. Aber nichts großartiges.
