The room I stayed in had this wonderful simplicity to it — clean lines, local touches, nothing overdone. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep things authentic without sacrificing comfort. The views from my window looked out over the surrounding countryside, and honestly, waking up to that green landscape instead of a parking lot or another building was worth the stay alone. The whole property has this unhurried feel where you can actually relax without feeling like you need to be somewhere else every five minutes.

Here’s something I discovered that you won’t read in most guides — Pastida is perfectly positioned for exploring Rhodes without dealing with the crowds. You can drive to Lindos in about 40 minutes, hit the beaches on the west coast in 20, but then come back to this quiet corner where locals still wave at you from their gardens. There’s a traditional restaurant just down the road where I had some of the best moussaka on the island — the kind of place where the owner’s grandmother probably taught him the recipe. The villa staff actually pointed me there, which tells you they know their neighborhood.

Why Guests Love It

Look, if you’re after nightlife and poolside bars, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to experience Greece at a more human pace — where you can sit on a terrace in the evening with a glass of local wine and actually have a conversation without shouting over music — then villa de calme delivers exactly what it promises.   Great place and host!
  We had a really good time during our summer break. The host was very helpful and greeted us with a traditional dinner.
  
  Plus:
  – Spacious apartment with 3 separate bathrooms.
  – Large rooms that can accommodate at least 10+ people.
  – Everything was clean.
  – The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking
  – Nice swimming pool with varying levels, which is suitable for kids (I'd say 5+ years).
  – Great location and a perfect starting point for various tourist attractions.
  – The place is so nice that we've recommended it to a couple of our friends.
  – Helpful and friendly owners. There was no problem checking in a little earlier and checking out later.

  – The owners live next to the apartment, but since the apartment faces the pool, there’s no interaction with them.
  
  What could be improved: Minus:
  – There is only one key for the gate. I think it would be handy to have 2 or 3 keys, as the keybox outside the gate is too small; or at least we had trouble with it.
