I mean, you’re still close enough to Rhodes town that you can easily explore, but honestly, once you settle into this spot, you might find yourself postponing those sightseeing plans. The property sits along Eparchiaki Odos Pastidas, which sounds intimidating but it’s really just the main road that winds through this quieter part of the island. What I love is how they’ve managed to create this serene atmosphere despite being accessible – you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere, but you’re definitely away from the tourist chaos.

The whole place has this understated elegance that feels authentically Greek rather than trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect. The rooms are spacious (actually spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious), and there’s something about the way the light filters through in the late afternoon that makes you want to just sit with a book and a glass of local wine. The staff here – and I can’t stress this enough – actually seem to enjoy their jobs, which makes such a difference. They’ll give you real recommendations, not just the standard tourist traps. One of them told me about this little taverna about ten minutes away where the locals go, and honestly, it ended up being one of the best meals of my trip. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your time if you’re like me – it’s got that perfect balance of being social enough if you want to chat with other guests, but with enough quiet corners if you just want to decompress.

What really sells me on this place is the attention to those little details that show someone actually cares. The breakfast isn’t some massive buffet situation, but what they do have is quality – proper Greek yogurt, local honey, fresh bread that’s still warm. Parking is straightforward (which, if you’ve driven around Rhodes, you know is not always a given), and the check-in process was refreshingly human – no corporate scripts, just genuine hospitality. The 9.3 rating makes total sense when you experience it; it’s not trying to be a flashy resort, but it absolutely nails what it sets out to do. If you’re looking for a base that lets you explore Rhodes without feeling like you’re staying in a tourist factory, Villa de Calme hits that sweet spot perfectly. Plus, you’re close enough to Pastida village that you can wander over for an evening stroll – the locals are friendly, and there’s something really nice about experiencing that authentic Greek village life, even if just for a few hours.

  Great place and host!
  We had a really good time during our summer break. The host was very helpful and greeted us with a traditional dinner.
  
  Plus:
  – Spacious apartment with 3 separate bathrooms.
  – Large rooms that can accommodate at least 10+ people.
  – Everything was clean.
  – The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking
  – Nice swimming pool with varying levels, which is suitable for kids (I'd say 5+ years).
  – Great location and a perfect starting point for various tourist attractions.
  – The place is so nice that we've recommended it to a couple of our friends.
  – Helpful and friendly owners. There was no problem checking in a little earlier and checking out later.

  – The owners live next to the apartment, but since the apartment faces the pool, there’s no interaction with them.
  
  What could be improved: Minus:
  – There is only one key for the gate. I think it would be handy to have 2 or 3 keys, as the keybox outside the gate is too small; or at least we had trouble with it.
