The location is sort of perfect if you think about it, because you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the tourist chaos that hits the main strips. I mean, ILioupoleos isn’t exactly a street name most people throw around, but locals know this area stays peaceful even when the ferries dump crowds elsewhere on the island.

The place has this relaxed confidence that comes from not trying too hard. You’ll notice it right when you walk in – there’s no marble lobby trying to impress you, just good bones and thoughtful touches that make sense. The rooms are what I’d call “properly Greek” without being kitschy about it. Think clean lines, decent space to actually unpack your stuff, and those little balconies where you can have morning coffee without feeling like you’re performing for other guests. The housekeeping is thorough (I’m talking about corners actually getting cleaned), and the beds are firm enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you slept in a hammock. Actually, the shower pressure surprised me – it’s one of those details that can make or break a stay, and they got it right.

What really sells this place though is how the staff treats you like you’re staying with knowledgeable locals rather than just processing another booking. They’ll tell you which taverna to hit on Tuesday nights, or mention that the best beach access is actually ten minutes walk from where most people think it is. The breakfast setup is simple but uses proper ingredients – you know, the kind of tomatoes that actually taste like something and bread that wasn’t trucked in from Athens. Parking is straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Greek islands will appreciate. The whole operation runs smoothly without feeling corporate, if that makes sense. I stayed there during shoulder season and again in July, and honestly, the vibe stays consistent – that’s not always the case with smaller places that get overwhelmed when things get busy. With a 9.5 rating, you’d expect something special, and Villa Billys delivers it without the pretense.

  Comfortable and with all good needed to be comfortable. Plenty of towels and cooking equipment and very clean
  
  What could be improved: It is hard to get anywhere other than via bus. There was only 1 shower room- the impression from the description was that it would have 2.

  The house is perfect, fully stocked with essentials in the kitchen and bathroom. A welcome set of fruits, ham, cheese, eggs, and beverages awaited us, along with detergent and dishwasher tabs.
  We loved the pool and the stylish furniture, and thoroughly enjoyed using the BBQ for outdoor dining.
  Swift communication with management and a very welcoming owner.
  Parking is available on the property behind a gated area.
  
  What could be improved: We noticed there wasn't any shade for the car parking, causing the car to heat up under the sun. I recommend to have a sun shield for the car window.
