You know what struck me first about Villa Almihauss? It’s tucked away in this quiet pocket of Afantou that most tourists completely miss – which is honestly exactly what you want from an adults-only place. I mean, everyone gets hung up on staying right in Rhodes town, but this spot in the Malassa area is maybe a ten-minute drive from Afantou Beach, and you’re away from all the family resort chaos. The whole property has this understated elegance thing going on – not trying too hard to impress, but everything just feels… right. Check-in was refreshingly smooth (no crowds fighting over pool chairs here), and the staff actually remembers your name after day one, which doesn’t happen at those massive resorts down the coast.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve nailed that balance between sophisticated and relaxed. The pool area becomes this perfect little sanctuary during the day – you’ll hear cicadas instead of screaming kids, and there’s usually a gentle breeze coming up from the valley that makes the heat totally manageable. I noticed they keep the common areas immaculate without being obsessive about it, and the rooms have this clean, modern feel without losing that Greek island character. The location works brilliantly if you want to explore – you’re close enough to pop into Afantou village for dinner (there’s this family taverna locals go to that’s worth finding), but far enough out that you feel like you’ve escaped somewhere special. Honestly, the 9.9 rating makes sense once you spend a few days here – it’s not flashy or over-the-top, but they’ve thought through all the little details that actually matter when you’re trying to unwind. The kind of place where you find yourself staying an extra night because leaving feels premature, you know?

  A Perfect Stay at Villa Almihauss
  We had the most wonderful stay at Villa Almihauss in Afandou! I travelled with my fiancée and her mum, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during our stay, the villa was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided.
  The villa itself is stunning, beautifully designed, spotlessly clean it was exactly like the pictures. It’s located in a peaceful, quiet area, which made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We loved how serene everything felt, yet we were still close enough to enjoy everything Afandou and the surrounding areas have to offer. Supermarket was 5 minutes walk away and lots of food places 5/10 mins walk away.
  This was the perfect mix of comfort, style, and hospitality. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend Villa Almihauss to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality getaway 😁

  The villa was a little piece of heaven! And Mihaela was an angel! It was in a great location with fabulous restaurants within walking distance. It was immaculately clean and had everything you could need for a perfect holiday! Nothing was too much trouble for Mihaela who was always available by text to answer any questions. Facilities in the villa, including the wonderful welcoming food and drink, were outstanding.

  Every single thing about Villa Amilhauss was just amazing. Mihaela was so very helpful giving us numerous suggestions for trips. Each day the villa was cleaned and beds made all immaculately. The location is great, mid way between the village centre and beach, both around 12 minutes walk but with several cafes/tavernas on the way to the centre.
  We couldn't praise the accommodation enough, it was just excellent.

  Our stay at the villa was absolutely fantastic! The privacy of the property allowed us to truly relax and unwind in style. The villa was beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable, especially the beds which were like sleeping on a cloud. Our host Mihaela was incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect – from leaving us bottled water and cleaning our room daily to sorting out our car rental for us.
  
  The property had everyday we needed for cooking and cleaning. All cooking utensils and spices provided. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  What could be improved: We were very pleased with the villa. Every single day a den came to clean the villa. and did his best to please us. He welcomed us with such love that we did not want to leave the villa. The beds were very comfortable and everything was available for cooking.

  The Villa was very well equipped and Mihaela kept the place spotlessly clean whilst we were there. We were welcomed with a bottle of bubbly, fresh fruit and various provisions. She was always available for any questions we had too. It is a nice location within a very friendly neighbourhood.

  The host is very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with full fridge (drinks), fruits and chilled bottle of a sparkling vine. That was a nice surprise. The house is very spacey, brand new, modern and clean. All appliances brand new. Great bathrooms, terrace (with beach towels at our disposal). Large beds, very comfortable. Beautiful interior and exterior design. 10 minutes walk from the Afandou town center, 15 minutes away by car from the Tsambica beach. Exceeded our expectations in every way.

  The place was very modern, it had appeared to be in good condition throughout and with good facilities including washing machine and dryer.
  
  It was beautiful and clean inside and out. Excellent upper terrace and outside space for relaxing in the evenings after a long day, and 2/3 cleaning visits per week.
  
  What could be improved: The bedrooms lack privacy, the are very open plan and have no doors. Not a problem if you are travelling with close friends or family with whom you are very comfortable, but may be an issue for some.
  If you have a hire car, parking is on a narrow road. Although the road is a small residential one, it can leave you anxious about getting scrapes. We had no incidents, however. Additionally, you'll need to park up against a wall making it hard for one side to exit the car.
