It’s just a few kilometers from Rhodes town, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds every morning. The beach here is actually fantastic — pebbly rather than sandy, which means the water stays crystal clear even when it’s busy. I spent most afternoons just walking along the coast, and you can easily reach the medieval town when you want that dose of history and nightlife.

The Space Itself

The room — well, it’s more like having your own floor of a villa, hence the name I suppose. Everything feels spacious and thoughtfully arranged, with that Mediterranean style that doesn’t try too hard. The balcony became my morning coffee spot, looking out over the area with glimpses of the sea. What struck me most was how quiet it stays, even though you’re not isolated from everything. The air conditioning works perfectly (crucial in Greek summers), and there’s this attention to detail that you notice in smaller properties where someone actually cares.

Why Couples Love It

I can absolutely see why this place gets such high marks from couples — there’s something inherently romantic about the whole setup. It’s not flashy or over-the-top, just genuinely peaceful and private. The kind of place where you can actually relax together without feeling like you’re in a busy hotel lobby every time you come and go. Plus, Ixia has some excellent tavernas within walking distance, so you can have those long, lazy dinners that vacation is really about.

With a 9.7 rating, this place is clearly doing something right, and after staying here, I get it. It’s that sweet spot between having your own space and still getting proper hotel service when you need it. The location gives you options — beach time, easy access to Rhodes town, or just hanging around the villa when you want to do absolutely nothing. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that don’t oversell themselves, and Villa – 1st Floor definitely falls into that category.
