You know what caught me off guard about Verona Pool Villa? It’s tucked away on that winding road between Pilona and Katavias – honestly, I almost missed the turn-off the first time because it’s more secluded than I expected from the photos. But that’s actually what makes this place special. You’re about fifteen minutes from Lachania village (where you’ll want to grab dinner at least one night, trust me), but far enough out that you really feel like you’ve escaped everything.

The villa itself – well, it’s one of those places where the pool becomes the center of your entire day. I mean, you wake up and there it is, practically calling to you from the terrace. The water’s always perfectly clean, and there’s something about the way it’s positioned that catches the morning light just right. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, nothing too fancy but everything works properly (the air conditioning is actually quiet, which is rare in Greece). What I really appreciated was how they’ve set up the outdoor spaces – there are enough different spots to lounge that you never feel crowded, even when the villa’s fully booked. The kitchen area is surprisingly well-equipped too, though honestly, with all those tavernas in nearby Katavias, I didn’t cook much.

Here’s the thing about this location that the booking sites don’t really capture – you’re perfectly positioned for exploring the southern tip of Rhodes without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist areas. Prasonisi Beach is maybe twenty minutes away, and if you’re into windsurfing or just want to see where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean, it’s absolutely worth the drive. The road can get a bit busy during peak summer months (July and August), but even then, it’s nothing compared to the northern coast. I’d actually recommend visiting in late spring or early fall – the weather’s still gorgeous, the pool is perfect, and you’ll have those winding coastal roads mostly to yourself. The staff here gets it too; they’re not hovering, but they know the area inside and out, so when you ask about the best beach for swimming versus the best one for watching sunset, they give you real answers, not tourist brochure nonsense.

  The host let us check out late on our last day, which was very nice of him. The villa had everything that we needed. It was in an excellent location for easy reach of beaches and restaurants with a car. Mojito beach bar was within a 2 minute walk of the villa.

  Sehr große Villa, sauber und gepflegt in einer ruhigen Lage, wenige Minuten vom Strand entfernt. Der Innen- und Außenbereich ist in einem top Zustand und sehr heimisch. Der Gastgeber Mario ist sehr freundlich, antwortet sehr schnell und wir hatten gute Gespräche. Wir würden als Familie immer wieder gerne zurückkommen. Efcharisto para poli!

  Das Haus ist nahe zum Strand (kurzer Gehweg) und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind nach kurzer Fahrt erreichbar. Als kite Surfer gefällt mir der relativ kurze Fahrweg nach Prasonisi und die Landschaft beim Queren der Insel an die Westküste.

  De locatie voldeed aan alle verwachtingen, en de beschrijving van de villa op Booking.com klopte volledig. De communicatie met zowel beheerder Kostas, als met eigenaar Mario verliep heel prettig.
  
  What could be improved: Het wifi-bereik had, naar ons idee, wat beter gekund. Met name buiten op het terras viel de verbinding regelmatig weg.

  Mario il proprietario è gentilissimo e simpatico. A 100 MT da una bella spiaggia poco visitata dai turisti. Molto pulita e non manca veramente niente!!
