Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in the Greek islands, but Venus Island Studios in Lindos honestly surprised me – and that’s saying something with a 9.5 rating that initially made me think “yeah right, let’s see about that.” The thing is, they’re tucked away in Krana, which is this quiet residential area just outside Lindos proper, so you get that authentic Greek neighborhood vibe without the tourist chaos that frankly makes the main town pretty exhausting by mid-afternoon in summer.

What really struck me was how the owners actually live this stuff – I mean, you can tell when people genuinely care about hospitality versus just running a business. The studios themselves are these clean, modern spaces that somehow don’t feel sterile (you know how some renovated places lose all their character?). Mine had this little kitchenette that was actually functional – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer – and the balcony looked out over these rolling hills dotted with olive trees. Honestly, sitting there with morning coffee while the rest of Lindos was still sleeping was worth the stay alone. The walk into town takes maybe 10-12 minutes, which is perfect because you’re close enough to hit the restaurants and the Acropolis easily, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling around at all hours.

Here’s what I appreciated most though – the practical stuff that travel sites never mention. Parking is actually sorted (not a given in this part of Rhodes), the AC works properly, and the shower has decent water pressure. I know that sounds boring, but after a day hiking up to the Acropolis in 35-degree heat, these things matter. The owner gave me tips about which tavernas the locals actually eat at versus the tourist traps, and pointed me toward this little beach path that most visitors miss completely. You know what’s funny? The place feels almost too good for four stars – like they’re underselling themselves. Maybe it’s because they’re slightly off the beaten path, or maybe they just prefer keeping things low-key. Either way, if you want to experience Lindos without feeling like you’re staying in a resort brochure, this is your spot.

  Chrysanti and Alekos were exeptional hosts always accessible, ready to help and friendly. The day we arrived they both welcomed us as friends and left us a bottle of wine, two bottles of water in the fridge, a bowl of fruit and a lot of biscuits and pastries on the kitchen table for our first breakfast.
  Venus Island apartments are not far from Lyndos centre. They are in a very good position, surrounded by a beautiful garden and very near to a small Krana supermarket.
  The self-catering apartment was clean, quiet and well-equipped with a washing machine, a shower and air-conditioning. Our hosts changed our bedsheets and towels after the first week and cleaned the apartment too during our stay. I would definitely recommend Venus Islands Apartments for your holidays!

  he best self catering apartment we have stayed at in Greece! Comfy bed, welcome pack on arrival, great location, peaceful yet easy walk into Lindos village.

  The hosts Chrysanti and Alkos are a lovely couple. Generous and welcoming. They help with everything and more. The place is cozy, clean, quiet and close to everything within a 10 minute walk. Highly recommended

  Everything about this beautiful place .The gardens ,accommodation,location.The host were the most welcoming people .Crysanthi had even put a welcome pack in the room for when I arrived and having cold water ect was very much appreciated.I’m certainly going to return and recommend this beautiful place .Thankyou again x

  The accommodation is lovely and very clean, with all the necessary amenities. It's also very peaceful and quiet with a beautiful garden where you can relax in the evening. It is close to several beautiful beaches and no more than 30 minutes walking from the beautiful Lindos acropolis. The bus station is within walking distance which makes it easy to explore other parts of the island and other beaches that are a bit further away. Check in/out was very easy and converient. Alekos and his wife are wonderful and kind hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend it!

  Good location in Krana outside of Lindos, there is about 10min walk from the Apartment to Lindos Main Parking and from there another 15-20mins walk to Lindos main beach or into the town.
  Very hospitable hosts, trully made us feel welcome, grateful to them for such hospitality.
  Hosts changed our bedsheets, towels and cleaned the apartment once during our one week stay, which was a nice touch.
  Well equiped kitchen though you would need to get your own seasoning e.g oil, salt etc.
  Trully enjoyed our stay, we would love to come back.
