Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about the Unique Sea & Sunset Residence? The name actually delivers on its promise – which honestly doesn’t happen that often with hotels. I mean, you’re right there on Heliadon Street in Ixia, and when you step out onto your balcony (assuming you get one of the sea-facing rooms, which you absolutely should request), you’re looking straight out at the Aegean with Rhodes town twinkling in the distance.

The location is sort of perfect if you want that sweet spot between being close to everything but not drowning in tourist chaos. Ixia beach is literally a two-minute walk – and I’m talking about the good part of Ixia beach, not the crowded strip further down. The pebbles take some getting used to if you’re expecting sand, but the water is incredibly clear and the sunsets… well, they named the place right. There’s this little taverna called Filosofia just down the road that the locals actually eat at (always a good sign), and you can walk to the main Ixia strip in about ten minutes when you want more dining options. The 4-star rating feels accurate – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but everything works properly and the rooms are genuinely comfortable.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to actually know the area. When I asked about catching the bus to Lindos, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic map – he walked outside and showed me exactly where to stand and warned me that the 2 PM bus gets packed with day-trippers. Small thing, but it mattered. The rooms themselves are clean and modern without being sterile, though I will say the air conditioning can be a bit loud at night if you’re a light sleeper. Parking was surprisingly easy – there’s a small lot behind the building that never seemed full, which is honestly a relief because parking in Rhodes can be a nightmare. The whole place has this relaxed vibe that makes sense once you realize you’re slightly removed from the main hotel zone but still close enough to everything that matters. That 9 rating on booking sites? Yeah, I get it. It’s not perfect, but for what it is and where it sits, it really delivers on making you feel like you’ve found a little slice of Rhodes that isn’t completely overrun.

  Very nice space to be in (we stayed there for 2 weeks), nice decorations and very well equipped for everything, including cooking & washing.
  Fotis is an amazing host, very kind and helpful, he was always available for immediate support for anything that came up during our long stay.

  Convenient location but very dusty outside due to the unfinished developments surrounding the property and many weeds.
  
  What could be improved: Air conditioning in the dining/lounge to keep the area cool would be an improvement. One toilet stopped working in the last week. Tap handle in vanity falls off. Fridge handle falls off. Curtains not hanging on rails properly.

  Der empfang wahr überragend gut und uns wurde auch alles erklärt und wir hatten auch einige esswahren und Getränke erhalten. Die Lage wahr optimal für unseren Aufenthalt in Rhodos auch der Parkplatz wahr neben dem Eingang.

  Jätte fin lägenhet. Ljust och gott om utrymme. Allt fungerade. Extra plus att det fanns en kaffemaskin och kex och dryck när vi ankom hungriga och törstiga.
  Jätte fin balkong och utsikt mot havet. Nära till allt.
  Välutrustad med rena lakan och gott om handdukar, även för stranden. Tvättmaskin och diskmaskin. AC fungerade mkt bra. Det fanns ingen AC vardagsrummet /köket men en bra fläkt.
  
  What could be improved: Vi var jättenöjda men om man ska säga något var det att 2 av 3 sängar var väl hårda för vår smak. Samt att vissa koppar bestick inte var helt rena.
  En förbättringsförslag kan vara att lämna något skriftligt i lägenheten som förklarar allmän info som sophantering osv.

  Wir wurden sehr freundlich am Anreisetag empfangen. Informationen zu Sehenswürdigkeiten, vorhandene Parkmöglichkeiten und Restaurants haben wir vom Vermieter erhalten.
  Im Kühlschrank waren für uns Getränke, Obst und Frühstück für den nächsten Morgen vorhanden.
  Die Wohnung ist sehr groß und mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt.
  Vom Balkon hat man einen schönen Blick auf das Meer.
  Fußläufig ist man in 5 min. am Strand.
