The free parking right on site is actually a huge relief because finding a spot in these narrow village streets can be tricky otherwise.

The Accommodation Experience

My room had this wonderful mix of traditional stone walls and modern comfort that really worked. The owners clearly put thought into preserving the character while making sure everything actually functions properly — the air conditioning was quiet, the shower had good pressure, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. What I loved most were the little details: hand-painted ceramics, local textiles, and windows that frame the surrounding hills perfectly. Honestly, after days of tourist-focused dining along the coast, eating here felt like a reset. You’ll want to venture out for variety, but for authentic local flavor, Sálakos delivers.
