You know what struck me first about TownHall Apartment’s? The name’s a bit misleading – I was expecting some stuffy government building conversion, but this place is actually tucked into one of those charming residential streets that most tourists never find. It’s on Georgiou Efstathiou, which honestly I had to ask three locals how to pronounce, but once you’re there, you’ll recognize it by the beautiful stone facade that just screams “authentic Rhodes” without trying too hard.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Rhodes Town rather than just visiting it. You’re maybe a five-minute walk from the medieval Old Town – close enough that you can pop back for a siesta when the afternoon sun gets brutal (and trust me, it will), but far enough that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at all hours. I mean, the Old Town is gorgeous, but sleeping there can be… challenging. Here, the mornings are actually peaceful, with just the sound of locals heading to work and the occasional scooter puttering by. The apartment building itself has that solid, reassuring feel – thick walls that keep things cool during the day and surprisingly quiet at night.

What really won me over was how the place manages to hit that sweet spot between having everything you need without feeling sterile. The apartments (and yes, they’re proper apartments, not hotel rooms with tiny fridges) have kitchens that you’ll actually want to use – especially after you discover the little produce market about two blocks away where the tomatoes are honestly better than anything you’ll get at home. The whole setup just makes sense for Rhodes, where half the fun is wandering the local neighborhoods, picking up fresh bread and olives, maybe some local wine, and having breakfast on your balcony while planning your day. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that “we’ll hold your passport for three days” nonsense you sometimes get on the Greek islands.

I’ll be honest, the 9.4 rating seemed almost too good to be true when I booked, but after staying there? It makes perfect sense. This isn’t one of those places that gets high marks because it’s flashy or Instagram-perfect – it earns them because everything just works the way it should. The Wi-Fi actually functions when you need to look up ferry schedules, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and the shower has proper water pressure (you know how rare that can be in older European buildings). It’s the kind of place where you find yourself thinking “I could actually live here for a month” instead of just counting down the days until checkout.

  Very nice apartment close to the Mandraki in Rhodes town, nice area with restaurants and shops, very close to Elly Beachq very good location. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with small terrace. The host Michael was very polite. We liked the property and recommend it for a good stay in Rhodes. The Greek restaurant downstairs in the building is also very good.

  Exactly like described. Renovated, spotless clean, comfy beds, plenty of hot water, all kitchen amenities for a short sta, building has elevator. Incredibly close to Elli beach, like 5 mina slow walk, we rented sunbeds and had lunch to Meltemi on the beach, family owned business extremely well cared for. Old city also very close within walking distance, also shopping street starts a minute away, with shops, farmacies, supermarkets. Michael, the apartment host, is extremely prompt and very nice, helped arange airport taxi for us too.

  The apartment was very clean and spacious, and was equipped with absolutely everything needed. It is also decorated very nice! The host met us with the keys although we were quite late, for which we apologize, and in the apartment there was a bottle of wine, a small cake and crispbread. We stayed in apartment number 3, which was perfect for us when travelling with kids as it is facing the inner yard and is thus more quiet. The location is perfect, very close to good restaurants and small supermarkets, and everything else you might need in Rhodos city.
  
  What could be improved: The very nice and spacious balcony has unfortunately no view, but once again this was not a problem for us and could be a plus when travelling with kids. Parking on the streets around requires special skills and a smaller car is highly recommended. It did become better the last days of our stay, which was the last week of October… It is great to drive around Rhodos which has a lot of hidden gems, with that said there are several rent-a-car places very close to the apartment, so renting a car for dedicated trips is also an idea.

  Everything was superb! Location, owner, Wifi, cleaning and lovely balcony (where you can smoke and chill)… Very large apartment as we booked 2 bedroom one. We travelled with our 4 years old daughter and was very warm (air conditions were new and working really great) and equipped really well with kettle, fridge, dining table etc. We didnt cook in but if you want you can definetely cook in as everything was provided for cooking.
  
  We have been in Rhodes for many times and stayed in such good hotels but this was the best because you have the whole apartment so is not like a hotel room. More comfortable and private.
  
  Location is just in the center of new town. We walked to everywhere. To the old town, to aquarium, to shopping… No need to take a taxi or bus unless you are going outside of Rhodes such as Lindos.
  
  We will prefer same place for our next visits to the island. Thank you for everything.
  
  What could be improved: We only did not like the shower alot. It was super clean but was just so tiny. But was still ok of course.

  Top location! This is the part of the city that is full of shops and restaurants. It's close to the city beach, old town, bus station.
  The apartment is spacious. Two large bedrooms, bathroom is a bit squeezed. Balcony is nice. Washing machine is very handy and everything dries in 3 hours under the Greek sun. The owner supplied with detergents, as well as with shower gel and any other consumables.
  Communication with owner was super easy. Michael greeted us in person and gave all useful instructions.
  
  What could be improved: Almost nothing to complain. Stylish refrigerator is a bit small.
  Also mind that the location has nightlife. At least one night a noisy group of youngsters occupied a terrace in the building on the opposite side of the street. But that is not the apartment's problem.
