Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Tota Suites on the main road between Rhodes and Lindos – you know how these roadside places can be hit or miss. But this place? It actually surprised me in the best way possible. The building itself has this clean, modern look that feels refreshingly understated compared to some of the flashier resorts you’ll find along the coast. What really got me was how quiet it is despite being right on Ethniki Odos – somehow they’ve managed to position everything so the traffic noise just doesn’t reach you, which is honestly pretty impressive.

The thing about staying here is that you’re perfectly positioned to explore both ends of the island without feeling like you’re stuck in the middle of nowhere. Afantou isn’t one of those touristy villages that gets completely overrun in summer, but it’s got character – there’s this authentic Greek feel that I mean, you just don’t get in the main resort towns. The beach is literally a five-minute walk down the hill, and it’s one of those long stretches of pebbles and sand where you can actually find a quiet spot even in July. The locals still use it, which always tells you something. I spent most mornings there with coffee from the suite’s little kitchenette setup (which is way more functional than those tiny hotel coffee makers, by the way).

What really sets Tota Suites apart though is the attention to detail – and I’m not talking about fancy marble or gold fixtures. It’s the practical stuff that matters when you’re actually living somewhere for a week. The air conditioning works properly, the wifi reaches every corner (tested it), and there’s actual space to unpack your clothes instead of living out of a suitcase. The owner, Dimitris, seems to genuinely care about making sure everything runs smoothly – he’s usually around during check-in hours and knows the area inside and out. When I mentioned wanting to find a good taverna away from the tourist crowds, he sent me to this place in Archangelos that I never would have found on my own.

The pool area is where you’ll probably spend your afternoons – it’s not huge, but it doesn’t need to be. There are enough loungers that I never had trouble finding a spot, and the poolside bar makes surprisingly good freddo cappuccinos. You’ll hear a mix of languages around the pool, but it never feels crowded or chaotic. Most guests seem to be couples or small families who’ve done their research rather than the party crowd you get at some places. That 9.6 rating makes sense when you realize it’s earned through consistency rather than flashy amenities – everything just works the way it should, which honestly feels like a luxury these days.

  The property is perfectly located near Rhodes and Faliraki. There is a very good supermarket in front of the property with all necessary provisions and many restaurants at a walking or short drive distance. The Afantou main beach is 10 min walking and the property itself is perfectly managed and maintained. It is equipped with all necessary appliances and very clean, well designed to ensure comfort, privacy and simplicity. The photos correspond to the reality and the private swimming pool is a real gem in the hot days.

  Perfect place for a peaceful vacation!
  Right between Rhodes and Lindos with several different beautiful beaches was a perfect location for us.
  The suite had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, all kitchen equipment and awesome pool
  Exactly as photos!
  Also owner and staff were always available and more than happy to help.

  Anlage entspricht exakt der Beschreibung. Moderne Suiten mit neuwertiger Ausstattung. Der Privatpool ist bei den Temperaturen in Rhodos Gold wert. Der Kontakt mit dem Service erfolgt via WhatsApp. Zimmer wird auf Anforderung gereinigt bzw Handtücher getauscht.
  Wünsche unsererseits wurden prompt und sehr schnell erledigt.
  
  What could be improved: Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt bleibt nur für die Lautstärke aufgrund der Straße, die nahe an der Anlage vorbeiführt (Bei geschlossener Balkontür ist aber fast nichts mehr zu hören)

  Super logement, propre, bien pensé, proche des points importants et à deux pas d’un supermarché. Personnel très gentil et réactif. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans ce logement pour passer un bon séjour.
  
  What could be improved: Le seul bémol est l’insonorisation. Ça aurait été un 10/10 si on entendait pas autant le bruit du trafic.

  Die ganze Anlage ist superschön und gepflegt. Das Haus ist sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles war perfekt sauber! Das Bett war extrem bequem.
  Obwohl eigentlich der Check-in für 14:00 Uhr angegeben war konnten wir am Anreisetag schon um 11:30 Uhr ins Haus rein.
  Die Lage ist toll, wenn man ein Auto dabei hat. Tsambika Beach, Ladiko und Anthony Quinn Buchten sind dann in ca. 10 Minuten erreicht. Afandou Beach ist fußläufig erreichbar, hat uns aber nicht so angesprochen.
  Ein Supermarkt ist nur 5 Minuten entfernt.
  Das Restaurant Katholikin wurde uns bei Schlüsselübergabe empfohlen. Toller Tipp, ganz in der Nähe, sehr leckeres Essen zu günstigen Preisen. Viel Einheimische essen selbst dort.
  
  What could be improved: Man hört die befahrene Hauptstraße, aber nur von der Poolseite aus. Und auch nur von draußen. Das Haus ist sehr gut isoliert, im Haus bekommt man nichts mit.
  Wir hätten uns einen richtigen Kleiderschrank gewünscht. Es gibt wenig Möglichkeiten seine Garderobe unterzubringen.
  Uns wäre eine Spülmaschine lieber gewesen als eine Waschmaschine.

  Die Unterkunft ist sehr modern und gut gelegen. Ein Mietwagen ist dennoch zu empfehlen. Super unkomplizierte Abwicklung mit nettem Vermieter.
  Die Unterkunft ist gut ausgestattet, der Pool das absolute Highlight. Strände und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig zu erreichen.
  Bilder der Unterkunft spiegeln das Appartement perfekt wieder.
  
  What could be improved: Ein bisschen mehr Abstellfläche wäre schön.
  Die Hauptstraße direkt hinter dem Appartement hat uns persönlich nicht gestört, ist aber gut befahren. (auch Nachts)
