You know what struck me first about THERETRA PEFKI Seaside? It’s actually tucked away in the quieter part of Pefki – not right on the main strip where all the tourist buses dump everyone off, but close enough that you can walk to everything without feeling isolated. I mean, Rhodes can get pretty hectic during peak season, but this spot feels like someone’s well-kept secret.

The hotel itself has that Mediterranean charm without trying too hard, if that makes sense. It’s a solid 4-star place that honestly punches above its weight – I’ve stayed at fancier places that felt more generic than this. The rooms are clean and comfortable (thank god for decent air conditioning in July), and most have these little balconies where you can actually hear the sea if you’re on the right side. The staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing, which is refreshing. Check-in was smooth, and they gave me some solid recommendations for tavernas that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps.

What really makes this place special is the location in Pefki itself. It’s about 15 minutes south of Lindos – close enough for easy day trips to see the Acropolis and that postcard-perfect village, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds every single day. The beach here is actually nicer than Lindos bay, honestly – longer stretch of sand, clearer water, and you can find a decent spot even in August. There’s this little bakery about a five-minute walk away that does incredible tiropita in the mornings, and the locals line up there too, which is always a good sign. Parking isn’t a nightmare like it is closer to Rhodes Town, though you’ll still want to get back before evening when everyone’s heading out for dinner.

The hotel’s got that relaxed vibe that makes you want to slow down – you know how some places make you feel like you need to be doing something every minute? This isn’t that. You can sit by their pool with a book, take a short walk to the beach, or just people-watch from the terrace. The breakfast is proper Greek style with local ingredients, not just generic hotel buffet stuff. And honestly, with a 9.6 rating, they’re clearly doing something right – those scores don’t come from nowhere. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying an extra day because leaving feels like too much effort, and I mean that in the best possible way.

  Great apartment and close to the centre of Pefkos and a lovely beach. Sevy was very responsive and nothing was too much trouble for Giannis. Lovely guy. Going back to same place in September.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing to dislike. Would suggest a small table and a couple of chairs are added to the patio area. Just to allow you to sit outside and have a coffee while taking in the fantastic view.

  The location was PERFECT 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 to the restaurants and bars. The place was very clean and modern with beautiful views. The host Giannis was absolutely amazing and made me feel very comfortable. No complaints 10/10!!!

  Exactly as advertised. The apartment is the perfect distance from the main part of town and very close to Plakia Beach. Giannis – the host – really made our trip. He was nice to chat with, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

  Having seen images for many places around the world, you can be forgiven for not seeing in the flesh what you see in the pictures. However what you seen is what you get. Superb location literally a 10minute stroll into Pefkos town. The room/property and amenities are as described and you always get to see or speak to management. It’s a 5min walk down to the beach. It has a very modern feel in and around the old village.

  Beautiful property with huge comfy bed and all the mod cons. A few bottles of water and drinks in the fridge on arrival plus tea & coffee and a few plates, bowls & cutlery should you need.
  Giannis is so welcoming and helpful. He helped with a local taxi and a good restaurant recommendation.
  I didn’t use the pool as I prefer swimming in the sea.
  The nearby Pelaki Beach is small but lovely with a cafe & sunbeds with lockable safe. The sea is clear and generally calm with some areas of interest for a little snorkelling.
  Pefkos isn’t somewhere I would usually have gone but in October it was OK and not busy. There are some really great restaurants (Hellas, Philosophia & 1912) and quite a few bars if that’s what you’re after.
  Lindos Acropolis is definitely worth a visit. I was there for 8am and it was super hot already.
  
  What could be improved: The only vague negative was that the shower soaks the whole bathroom floor but that’s minor compared to how great the suite was.

  The apartments are in a perfect location for both the restaurants bars and beach. Giannis was really helpful, and all communications with Sevy were replied to honestly and quickly. The apartments are spacious and welcoming, and we wouldn't hesitate to return. The bed was super comfy!! Personally, I preferred the upstairs apartment rather than those with the plunge pools, but that's just personal choice.
  
  What could be improved: We would have liked some sunbeds around the pool area, that could be moved around, rather than the day beds.

  Our stay at Theretra Pefki was amazing. Giannis the host was there to meet us on arrival, and was great throughout our stay. Always available to answer any questions we had and provided recommendations around the area. He was also around to make sure we were okay and whether we needed anything. The apartment itself was stunning – exactly as described and how the pictures display it. Spacious, modern and clean. The apartment felt very private and we loved the coffee machine and fridge which we made use of every day. It was great that the fridge was stocked with complimentary water and a couple of soft drinks and canned cocktails on arrival, a lovely touch! We liked how it was only an 5 minute walk to the closest supermarket and some lovely restaurants in Pefkos, also only a 10 minute taxi journey to Lindos town, where we spent a lot of our evenings. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return – one of the best apartments I have ever stayed in.
