You know what struck me first about Theretra Kiotari Villas? It’s actually tucked into this quiet stretch of southern Rhodes that most tourists completely miss – which, honestly, is exactly what makes it special. I mean, everyone flocks to Rhodes Town or Lindos, but down here in Kiotari, you get this authentic Greek island vibe without fighting crowds for a decent taverna table.

The villas themselves have this understated elegance that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than some sterile resort. Each one’s got its own character – mine had these gorgeous stone accents and a terrace where I’d sit with morning coffee, listening to nothing but cicadas and the distant sound of waves. The kitchens are actually functional too (not those sad hotel kitchenettes), which came in handy when I’d grab fresh fish from the local market in Gennadi. Speaking of Gennadi, it’s just a quick drive up the coast, and their little seafront has some of the best grilled octopus I’ve had on the island – the locals there still outnumber the tourists, if you know what I mean.

What really sets this place apart is how the owners seem to get that travelers want space to breathe. The pool area never felt crowded, even during peak August when I visited, and there’s this relaxed energy where you can actually hear yourself think. The beach access is solid – it’s not right on the sand, but honestly, the walk down to Kiotari Beach takes maybe five minutes, and you’ll often have stretches of it to yourself, especially if you head out early. The water there is this incredible turquoise that looks almost fake in photos. Parking’s never an issue either, which sounds boring but trust me, after dealing with the chaos of Rhodes Town, you’ll appreciate just pulling up without circling for twenty minutes. I did notice the WiFi can be a bit spotty in some villas (mine was fine, but my friend’s dropped out occasionally), though let’s be real – sometimes that’s not entirely a bad thing. The whole southern tip of Rhodes has this slower pace that grows on you, where dinner doesn’t start until 9 PM and nobody’s rushing anywhere. If you’re looking for nightclub action, this isn’t your spot, but if you want to fall asleep to actual silence and wake up feeling like you’re discovering a side of Greece that still feels genuine, Theretra Kiotari Villas gets it right.

  Kichen was great to make breakfast and house was close to espresso restaurant and also close to good seafood restaurants. Rooms was clean and the quality of the house was good with good aircondtions in all room.

  Pan domácí na nás čekal, ačkoliv jsme přijeli až po půlnoci a velice mile nás přivítal a ubytoval. Dostali jsme na přivítanou láhev vína a ovoce a rovněž jsme měli nachystáno drobné pohoštění. Několikrát za pobyt se nás pan ubytovatel dotazoval zda něco nepotřebujeme.
  Klimatizace bezvadně fungovala, kuchyň je perfektně vybavená, měli jsme k dispozici i pračku a žehličku. Také na pláži jsme měli slunečník a lehátka zdarma.
  Pláž jsme měli téměř sami pro sebe, voda je v tomto místě velice klidná a průzračně čistá.
  Tím, že ubytování je jen pár kroků od pláže, tak jsme byli v moři několikrát denně a mezitím jsme si na zahradě něco ugrilovali…no prostě super!
  DOPORUČUJI.
  
  What could be improved: Vstup do moře je trošku nepohodlný díky oblázkům, ale za to ubytovatel nemůže.
