When I first pulled up to Theonia Villas in Pefki, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect — but the moment I stepped out of my car, I knew this place was something special. The property sits in what locals consider the absolute best part of Pefki, and you can immediately see why couples are drawn here. There’s this peaceful, almost secluded feeling despite being perfectly positioned to explore Rhodes, and the fact that parking is right there on-site (which, trust me, is a huge deal in Greece) already had me feeling relaxed.

Location & Neighborhood

Pefki itself is one of those Rhodes gems that feels authentically Greek without the overwhelming tourist crowds you’ll find in Rhodes Town. What I love about where Theonia Villas is positioned is that you’re genuinely in the heart of the best area — I mean, that 9.7 location score isn’t just numbers on a screen. You can walk to genuine tavernas where locals actually eat, and the beaches here have that perfect mix of organized spots with sunbeds and completely natural stretches where you can just spread out a towel. The whole area has this laid-back vibe that makes you slow down and actually enjoy your vacation.

The Accommodation Experience

The villas themselves have this wonderful residential feel — you’re not staying in a hotel room, you’re living like you have your own Greek retreat. Each villa gives you proper space to spread out, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to unwind. I particularly appreciated having areas where you could sit outside in the evenings with a glass of local wine, watching the light change over the landscape. The setup works perfectly whether you’re a couple looking for romance or just someone who values having their own peaceful space.

What Makes It Special

You know what really struck me about this place? It’s that rare combination of feeling completely private while still being connected to everything that makes Pefki wonderful. The property management clearly understands what travelers actually need — like that free parking I mentioned, which saves you both money and the headache of hunting for spots. But beyond the practical stuff, there’s something about the atmosphere here that just works. Maybe it’s the way the villas are positioned, or how the whole place feels integrated into the natural landscape rather than imposed on it.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.6 rating honestly makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. Couples especially seem to connect with the romantic potential of having your own villa in such a beautiful setting — there’s something about having your own space that just enhances the whole Greek island experience. The location gives you the best of both worlds: you can easily explore Rhodes when you want adventure, but you also have this peaceful retreat to return to. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even left.

  Great Location just on edge of town and very close to a lovely beach.
  Host very friendly and willing to help wherever possible.
  Beautifully furnished and well maintained
  apartment with everything we needed.

  Very close to both the beach and the Town

  What could be improved: Curtain in main room white/cream and not lined.Apartment is open plan with the bed therefore those curtains allowed daylight through,so if you don't mind being awake with daylight coming through at 5am it's all good.
  Being a Greek island no tissue allowed in toilet, probably related somehow to plumbing, that's fine but no bags provided for throwing soiled tissue out.
  Stayed for a week, a sign asks guests to keep towels clean. No change of sheets or towels until half way through stay. Impossible to keep towels clean. No washing machine.Washed them ourselves, as I hate soiled white towels.

  Lovely room overlooking quiet pool. My daughter had her own bedroom upstairs which was great. The property wasn’t in the centre of town which is what we wanted but easily walkable in 4 minutes to every bar etc.

  Apt was in a great location – 5 minute walk in to town with good choice of bars & restaurants. Bus stops 2 mins walk. Apt had everything we needed for a comfortable stay – well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom, huge living/sleeping space. Fabulous balcony overlooking the pool. Everything immaculately clean. Host, Athina, on hand if we needed to ask any questions. Absolutely recommend this place.

  The studio had a separate additional bedroom upstairs, a good sized and equipped kitchen for basic meals (pasta, salads, omelettes,etc.), a very spacious fridge and freezer and a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and the hills.
  The pool area was great and quiet; there were other guests but it never felt crowded (I think there were only more than 7 people in the pool once in two weeks!). By the pool there was also a big garden table with comfy chairs to enjoy food and refreshment in the shed.
  Athina, the host, was amazing: very warm welcoming and friendly and look after the place so well. The whole place is spotless and there are gorgeous trees and plants throughout the grounds
