You know what struck me first about Thalassia Avra? It’s actually right there on Stegna Beach – and I mean literally right there, not some marketing “beachfront” nonsense where you’re still hiking five minutes to see sand. You step out of your room and you’re basically looking at this gorgeous stretch of pebbled beach that most tourists completely miss because they’re all crammed into Rhodes Town or Lindos. Stegna’s one of those spots where Greek families come on weekends, which honestly tells you everything you need to know about how good it is.

The hotel itself has this relaxed, almost residential feel – it’s not trying to be some massive resort complex, which I actually loved. The rooms are clean and comfortable (that 9.6 rating isn’t just for show), and most have these little balconies where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the fishing boats heading out. The staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing, not just going through the motions. I mean, the woman at reception remembered my name after one conversation and kept asking how my day trips were going – small thing, but it matters. Parking’s easy too, which is a relief if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the island, because let’s be honest, some of these coastal places make you park halfway up a mountain.

What really gets me about this place is the location within Archangelos. Most people just drive through this little town on their way somewhere else, but it’s actually got this authentic Greek village vibe that you don’t find in the tourist zones. There’s a proper taverna about a ten-minute walk inland where locals eat – the kind of place where they don’t even have an English menu but the owner’s grandmother is in the kitchen making the best moussaka you’ll taste on the island. The beach itself is this perfect mix of organized (there are sunbeds if you want them) and wild (plenty of space to just throw down a towel). Water’s crystal clear, and because it faces east, you get these incredible sunrises if you’re an early riser. Evenings are pretty quiet – you’re not dealing with beach bars blasting music until 3 AM, which depending on what you’re after, is either perfect or boring. For me? It was exactly what I needed after the chaos of Rhodes Old Town.

  Everything is new and clean. Antonis is extremely flexible and friendly. He welcomed us with drinks, fruits and snacks. Two great beaches in the neighbourhood. Both of them are peaceful and still. We also really enjoyed the jacuzzi. The flat has every comfort and tools you need, we even did not used the laundry room and the barbecue.
  
  What could be improved: The spiral staircase up to the bedrooms is steep and narrow but has child safety door. Some wardrobes in the bedrooms could be useful.

  Das Haus ist sehr groß und hat viel Platz.
  Zum Meer 🌊 haben wir nur 2 min gebraucht.
  Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Aussicht und es sind viele schöne Restaurants zum Essen gehen in der Nähe.
  Auch ein kleiner Supermarkt war ganz in der Nähe von uns für Kleinigkeiten.
  Die Besitzer sind auch so freundlich und hilfsbereit und sind immer erreichbar wenn Fragen aufkommen sollten. Auch haben Sie uns mit der Autovermietung geholfen:)

  Die Lage ist direkt an der Straße, was aber absolut perfekt ist. Man hat die Strände fussläufig in unmittelbarer Nähe, des weiteren Shops, Restaurants, Bootsverleih etc. Das Haus ist klimatisiert, liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten wie voll ausgestattete Küche, Whirlpool, Dachterrasse, Kamin, TV, Gäste WC, Bad… Die Vermieter sind mega freundlich…

  Der Eigentümer war immer hilfsbereit und jederzeit erreichbar. Was uns auch überzeugt hatte, war der Jacuzzi, den wir nahezu täglich auch genutzt haben. Wir können diese Unterkunft weiterempfehlen und werden wieder kommen. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und man fühlt sich wie Zuhause.

  Sehr schön hergerichtet, aus jedem Fenster Blick aufs Meer und der whirlpool ist auch sehr toll. Der Vermieter ist super lieb und jederzeit zustelle sollte man irgendwas brauchen 🙂 tolle Einrichtung in der Küche hat man absolut alles was man braucht und sogar einen griller draußen, Balkon auch sehr gemütlich, hat wirklich alles gepasst🥰
  Nur kleiner tipp: auto nicht direkt auf der Straße sondern besser 20m weiter am Parkplatz parken, dann kann nichts passieren ! 😉

  Der Service von Antonis. 24/7 erreichbar. Die Nähe zum Meer und der Jacuzzi auf der Terasse. Die Sauberkeit im gesamten Haus und die Ausstattung der Küche. Super Komfort mit Waschmaschine. Supermarkt gegenüber und zahlreiche Tavernen. Selbst ein Mietwagen konnten wir durch Antonis bekommen. Alles schnell und unkompliziert! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

  Vermieter top,kam allen Wünschen nach.Ausstattung modern und gemütlich.Man Idt schnell am Strand und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.O Tee Terrasse mit Jacuzzi sehr schön .
  
  What could be improved: Die Lage des Hauses ist direkt an der Straße.Viel Autoverkehr und sehr laut für Leute die Ruhe suchen.Sehr schmale Treppe zu den Schlafräumen,für gehbehinderte Menschen nicht zu empfehlen.Wäre schön,wenn ein Staubsauger vorhanden wäre.
