Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Sweet Home Luxury Apartments” in Ialyssos, I was expecting something decent but not spectacular. Then I actually stayed there, and wow, that 9.9 rating suddenly made complete sense. This place is tucked away on Πύρρας street, which means you’re close enough to the main Rhodes action but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between hotel service and apartment freedom. The units themselves feel properly luxurious – I mean, we’re talking marble bathrooms, kitchens that aren’t just for show, and balconies where you can actually picture yourself having morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display. The whole setup screams quality without being stuffy about it. You know what I loved? The little details that show someone actually thought about how people live – decent water pressure (thank god), blackout curtains that work, and kitchen equipment you’d use at home. Plus the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, which honestly puts it ahead of half the places I’ve stayed in Greece.

The location is brilliant if you know the area. Ialyssos isn’t the flashy part of Rhodes, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re maybe ten minutes from some gorgeous beaches that aren’t completely overrun, and the local tavernas nearby – well, let’s just say you won’t find many other tourists fighting for tables. I actually ended up walking to this little place down the road most evenings because the food was incredible and the owner’s English was just good enough for some genuinely funny conversations. The staff at Sweet Home clearly know their neighborhood too – they pointed me toward spots I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking was surprisingly painless, which anyone who’s driven around Greek islands will appreciate. The whole area has this residential feel during the day, then comes alive in the evenings without getting rowdy. I stayed in late September and it was perfect – still warm enough for the beach, but you could sense the summer crowds thinning out. The only tiny complaint? The WiFi got a bit sketchy during what I assume were peak hours, but honestly, that might’ve been a blessing in disguise. Sometimes you need an excuse to put the laptop away and just enjoy where you are, you know?

  The apartment is very nice, clean and cozy. It also has a beautiful view of mountains. The main visiting places are close so you can reach them by car or even walking. The host is very friendly, helpful and kind. The apartment is in a private territory so its location is really safe. I highly recommend staying here!

  Been working in tourism industry for 40 years. Seen hundreds of hotels, hundreds of apartments. Honestly, can tell you, don’t look further! The Sweet Home Luxury Apartments is the best holiday home you can find. Spacious, new, clean, away from the most touristy area. Fast WiFi. A washing machine l. Above all, the owner extremely friendly, hospitable, making you feel welcome, taking care of your comfort. Large space for parking. No television (September 2024).

  A luxury, brand new, modern clean and spacious and very well-equipped accommodation.
  We were just 2 but I think this would also be Ideal and very suitable for friends or for a family, especially since there was a choice of 2 bathrooms in the apartment to use.
  It is literally fully equipped, has everything for a super comfortable stay, and all brand new, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, hairdryer, iron, cutlery crockery and much more.
  A large bright airy living room with a balcony that offers great views.
  Lovely quiet area with walking distance to a choice of two large supermarkets, a mini market, a lovely traditional bakery, pharmacies and some great restaurants we tried on both nights.
  Ialysos beach a short 10 min walk with that Mediterranean crystal clear water.
  Rhodes town was a 10-15 min drive, from the apartment.
  Dimitris (the owner) and his son, were very helpful and accommodating made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble, Greek hospitality at its best.
  We will definitely try to come back again maybe end of September or beginning of October for hopefully a little longer stay – would highly recommended to everyone to book and experience it for themselves.

  Gute Lage um den oberen Inselteil zu erkunden, insbesondere Rhodos Stadt bzw. die Altstadt (kleiner Tipp: am besten beim Stadion parken, da gibt es eigentlich immer Parkplätze). Das Appartment befindet sich nicht in der Einflugschneise des Flughafens und war daher relativ ruhig. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung war sehr gut. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt.
  
  What could be improved: Die Strände auf dieser Inselseite sind eher nicht so schön, aber das wussten wir vorher (der Fokus lag hier auf der wirklich sehr schönen Altstadt).

  Pohostinnosť a napomocnost pana domaceho Dimitrisa bola excelentna pocas celeho pobytu.
  Ubytovali sme sa v nedeľu podvecer a pytali sa na nejake otvorené obchody.
  Jeho odpoveď bola, ze vacsina je uz zatvorených. Nasledne sa o 30min vratil s taskou jedla. Je to krasne gesto, ked vam niekto prinesie jedlo pre vasu rodinu.

  Wir konnten unkompliziert in das Apartment Nr.3
  Wechseln, weil Booking.com das Apartment 5 überbucht hat. Es war sehr geräumig und alles in super Zustand und sehr sauber. Der Gastgeber war super freundlich, hat uns alle Fragen beantwortet und uns sogar ein Mietauto organisieren können.
  Als Willkommensgruß war unser Kühlschrank mit Früchten und Wasser gefüllt.
  Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
