You know what struck me first about Sunset View? It’s actually tucked away on the third floor of this classic building on Agiou Sofiou Street – and honestly, that’s part of its charm. I mean, you’re right in the heart of Rhodes Old Town, maybe a two-minute walk from the medieval walls, but somehow it feels like this quiet little secret perched above all the tourist bustle below.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without, well, being completely overwhelmed by it. During the day you can hear the gentle hum of people exploring the cobblestone streets, but at night – especially if you snag one of the rooms facing away from the main pedestrian flow – it actually gets pretty peaceful. The staff seems to really know their stuff too; when I was trying to figure out the best time to visit the Palace of the Grand Masters (avoid 11am-2pm, trust me), they had all these insider tips about which entrance to use and when the tour groups typically show up.

What really sets this place apart though is how it manages to feel both authentic and comfortable – you’re staying in a building that’s got real character, with these thick walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing hot outside, but they’ve updated everything that actually matters. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out, and there’s something satisfying about opening those traditional shutters in the morning and seeing the medieval rooftops stretching out toward the harbor. The whole experience feels very… Rhodes, if that makes sense. Not like some generic hotel that could be anywhere. Plus, and this might sound silly, but there’s something magical about being able to walk out your door and within minutes you’re wandering through streets that are literally centuries old – past the Mosque of Suleiman, down toward Mandraki Harbor where you can grab fresh seafood, or up to the walls where you get those incredible sunset views over the Aegean. The 8.1 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but it delivers exactly what you’d want from a stay in the Old Town: character, comfort, and a location that lets you really soak up everything Rhodes has to offer.

  The apartment was spotlessly clean and just as it looks in the photos. We stayed for a one week holiday, we wanted to be walking distance to town but away from the tourist areas, this apartment was a perfect location and quiet. There are two balconies and lots of space, a cooker, washing machine and coffee machine so we felt relaxed and comfortable the whole time. The mattress is firm but that's the way like it, we felt great when we woke up. I don't have a bad thing to say, we had a fabulous time there and I would recommend it to anyone going to Rhodes to relax. Thank you to our hosts, we didn't interact much but they were always ready if we needed them.

  Εξαιρετικές παροχές, το κατάλυμα είχε τα πάντα καφέ, τσάι, απορρυπαντικά, πιστολάκι, σεντόνια, πετσέτες και πολλά άλλα που έκαναν τη διαμονή μας άνετη. Ήταν πεντακάθαρο και η θέα ήταν απλά μαγευτική, με το κάστρο της παλιάς πόλης να φαίνεται από το παράθυρο. Η τοποθεσία ήταν ιδανική, πολύ κοντά στο κέντρο, με εύκολη πρόσβαση σε όλα τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος της πόλης. Σίγουρα θα το προτιμήσω ξανά!

  What could be improved: Το δωμάτιο δεν αξίζει καθόλου τα λεφτά του με το τίποτα εγώ έδωσα 92€.
  Το δωμάτιο δεν έχει Aircodicion ήταν ανυπόφορη το βράδυ και δεν μπορούσες να κοιμηθείς από την ζέστη και την υγρασία.
  Ο καναπές ήταν σπασμένος και βρώμικος παρά πολύ τα σεντόνια δεν ήταν αλλαγμένα με εκατοντάδες τρίχες πολύ βρώμικος.
  Στις 1.00 π.μ ξημερώματα μας χτυπούσαν τα κουδούνια επίσης φοβηθήκαμε σαν κοιμόμασταν.
