Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Summer Days? It’s tucked away up in Mesovouno, which means you’re technically in Faliraki but honestly feel like you’ve escaped the whole spring break chaos that the main strip is famous for. I mean, you can still hear the distant thrum of the beach bars when the wind’s right, but it’s more like background music than a headache-inducing soundtrack.
The thing about this place – and I wish more hotels got this – is that they’ve actually figured out how to feel Greek without trying too hard. The lobby doesn’t assault you with fake ancient columns or whatever, just clean white walls and these gorgeous blue accents that remind you exactly where you are. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that “welcome drink while we process your paperwork for twenty minutes” theater. The staff here seem to actually know the area, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. When I asked about getting to Anthony Quinn Bay (which, by the way, is absolutely worth the trek), the desk guy didn’t just point vaguely toward the coast – he sketched out the walking path and mentioned which tavernas to stop at.
The rooms are what you’d call thoughtfully simple. Mine faced inland toward the hills, which initially felt like I was missing out on sea views, but honestly? Those pine-covered slopes are pretty stunning, especially in the early morning light. Plus, it’s quieter – the poolside rooms get a bit of echo from late-night conversations. The air conditioning actually works properly (I’m looking at you, every other Greek hotel I’ve stayed at), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, with one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t just dribble disappointingly.
What really makes Summer Days work is its position in Faliraki’s ecosystem, if that makes sense. You’re close enough to walk down to the main beach when you want that classic Mediterranean beach town experience – maybe fifteen minutes if you don’t mind a bit of a hill. But you can also head the other direction toward some of the quieter coves that most tourists never find. The hotel’s pool area becomes this perfect middle ground in the afternoons, busy enough to feel social but not so packed you’re fighting for shade. I spent way more time there than I expected, actually, just reading and people-watching.
The breakfast deserves a mention – it’s not going to change your life, but they do proper Greek coffee and the local honey is incredible. Skip the “international” options and stick with the yogurt, fruit, and pastries. Trust me on this one. And here’s a tip the hotel probably won’t tell you: there’s a little family-run place called Kyklos about a ten-minute walk up the road that does the best grilled octopus on this part of the island. The hotel staff will absolutely know it if you ask.
Look, Summer Days isn’t trying to be the flashiest place in Faliraki, and that’s exactly why it works. It’s comfortable, well-located, and run by people who seem to understand that sometimes the best vacation experiences happen when you’re not constantly being sold something.

The location was approximately 20 minutes from the airport by car. It was only 10 minutes walk into the main part of Faliraki. The staff at the hotel were ever so friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean with plenty of sun beds. The prices at the restaurant were good value. Food was tasty, beers were nice and cold. The area the hotel was in was quiet and peaceful.

Terry & his family are very welcoming. We arrived late at night and he helped carry our luggage and also provided all room requests. We was room 220 & it had a beautiful garden view and also over looking the island which was all lit up at night.Pool bar food is so cheap but also good quality. Enough sunbeds for everyone and pool also clean and lovely to go in even in September and is still open until 7pm. Pictures don’t do this hotel justice it honestly looks so much more of life in real life than the photos! Aircon worked very well and also wasn’t required to pay extra. Short 5 minute walk down one straight road basically from the centre. Overall felt extremely safe. Terry & his family can’t do enough for you and we couldn’t have had a lovelier experience. Taxis can be ordered through the hotel. Lovely family and lovely hotel. Thank you so much! ☺️
