You know what caught me off guard about Stegna Bay Apartment? I was expecting just another beachside rental, but this place actually feels like someone’s carefully curated hideaway rather than a generic vacation spot. It sits right on Stegna Beach in Archangelos – and I mean literally a stone’s throw from the water, not that “beach access” nonsense where you’re hiking ten minutes through scrubland. The moment you step onto the terrace (which honestly has one of those views that makes you forget to check your phone for hours), you get why this place scored a 9.3 rating.

The thing about Stegna Beach is it’s still got that authentic Greek island vibe that’s getting harder to find. You won’t see cruise ship crowds here – it’s more about Greek families on weekend getaways and travelers who’ve done their homework. The apartment itself strikes this perfect balance between having everything you actually need without feeling cluttered with unnecessary stuff. The kitchen is properly equipped, not just tourist-functional, and there’s this little detail I loved – the shower has actual water pressure, which anyone who’s bounced around Greek islands will appreciate. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which saved me the usual rental car headaches you get in beach towns.

What really won me over was how the owners clearly know the area inside and out. They pointed me toward this taverna about a five-minute walk inland where locals actually eat (amazing lamb, cash only, don’t expect English menus), and mentioned the best times to hit the beach before it gets busy. Mornings are pure magic here – the water’s this incredible turquoise, and you’ll often have whole stretches of sand to yourself until around 11. The only minor thing I’d mention is that summer evenings can get a bit lively with music from the beach bars, but honestly, it adds to the atmosphere rather than being annoying. Plus, the sea breeze keeps things comfortable even in peak season. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between authentic Greek island experience and actual comfort – without paying resort prices – this place delivers in ways that’ll have you already planning your next trip before you’ve even checked out.

  Our stay at Stegna Bay was great for a family with two children under 3 years old. Very kind and friendly staff, very clean, close to the sea. You also have a supermarket nearby and a tavern called "Maria", where you can eat very good traditional recipes. We were impressed by the warmth with which we were received by all these people and for that we thank them and we couldn't wait to see each other again.
  
  What could be improved: The shower could be changed and some better knives and smaller pots would be needed. Nevertheless we managed very well.

  We were early in the season, and it is a very nice. Everything was perfect. The apartment is really nice, spacious. The Host and other staff members are all very kind and very helpful and friendly. The apartment has a very good moskitiera on the balcony door (which you can move as additional door) and on the window. We did not have any mosquitoes problem, and in general we only saw 4 mosquito in Stegna Bay Appartments at that time of a year during two weeks (second part of April). The shower is very good. Tjhe shower works very well and we always had hot water.

  Perfect location, quiet and very close to the beach, very nice and clean rooms with perfect service! Very friendly owner. Beach, restaurants, market 1-2 minutes from the appartment. We stayed a week as a couple, perfect place for holidays.

  Comfy and very clean apartment! All windows are equipped with the insect nets, which is extremely helpful not only against the insects themselves, but also to prevent the invasions of the stray cats (although, they’re really cute) ☺️
  
  What could be improved: The only thing was the defect Wi-Fi. It wasn’t working the whole stay.
