Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of waterfront places that promise the world and deliver a view of a parking lot, but Skizenas is actually the real deal. The moment you pull up to this place in Haraki, you get it – these aren’t just apartments with “waterfront” slapped in the name for marketing. You’re literally steps from that gorgeous stretch of beach where the locals still outnumber the tourists, and honestly, that’s becoming harder to find on Rhodes these days.

What struck me first was how quiet it gets here once the sun goes down. During the day, sure, you’ve got families on the beach and the occasional fishing boat puttering by, but Haraki isn’t one of those resort towns that turns into a party zone after dark. The apartments themselves are properly spacious – I mean, you can actually unpack your suitcase and not feel like you’re living out of it for a week. The kitchens are equipped well enough that you can swing by the little market in town (it’s maybe a three-minute walk) and actually cook something decent. Speaking of which, that market has surprisingly good local produce, and the owner – this older Greek gentleman who speaks about four languages – will tell you exactly which tomatoes to buy and which fish came in that morning.

The thing about Skizenas that you won’t get from photos is the attention to those small details that make or break a stay. The water pressure is actually decent (you’d be surprised how many Greek island accommodations fail this basic test), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, and – this might sound silly but it matters – the WiFi reaches the balcony where you’ll probably spend half your time anyway. The staff genuinely seems to care about the place; when I had an issue with my keycard on day three, it was sorted in about ten minutes, no drama. You know what really sold me though? The view changes throughout the day in ways that keep surprising you. Morning light hits the water differently than evening light, and from most of the apartments you can see clear across to the Turkish coast on really clear days. That 9.9 rating isn’t just people being generous – this place delivers on what it promises, which honestly feels rare enough these days to be worth mentioning.

  everything was absolutely perfect. The hostess was very nice and attentive. The apartment was clean, new, well equipped. The view from the terrace was great. I definitely recommend it

  Everything! The apartment had everything you needed. The family that own apartment are very friendly and willing to assist with any needs.Views from balcony were amazing. Bonus of sunbeds on the beach.

  It is really hard to find a suitable words to describe how perfect it was. Place is absolutely wonderful, peaceful, magical. The apartment has everything that is needed, it is very cosy. 💙 Anthoula is wonderful person and I am trully grateful for your kindness, energy, hospitality and generosity. That was one of my best holidays ever 💙 It was totally 10/10. Haraki is wonderful!
