You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Rhodes over the years, and SEBASTIAN Apartments in Afantou genuinely surprised me. When I first pulled up – and yes, parking is actually easy here, which is already a win – I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. It’s on that winding road between Afantou and Psinthou, sort of tucked away from the main tourist chaos, but honestly that turned out to be perfect.

The thing about Afantou is that most people just zip through it to get to the beach or the monastery, but staying here gives you this authentic Greek village vibe without feeling like you’re roughing it. The apartments themselves are… well, they’re what four stars should actually mean. Clean lines, proper air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and kitchenettes that you’d actually want to use. I made coffee every morning on the little balcony, watching the locals head to work while the morning light hit those hills behind the village. The woman at reception – Maria, I think – knew exactly which tavernas were worth walking to and which beach spots the tour buses skip. That kind of local knowledge you just can’t fake.

What really got me was how quiet it stays, even in July when everywhere else on the island is absolutely mental. You’re maybe ten minutes from Afantou Beach, which is this gorgeous stretch that somehow never feels packed, and if you want the livelier scene in Rhodes Town, it’s a twenty-minute drive tops. But here’s the thing – you might not want to leave much. The pool area has these comfortable loungers where you can actually read a book without someone’s music competing with the cicadas, and there’s something about the way the building sits among the olive trees that just works. I mean, the whole place has this relaxed confidence to it, like they know they’ve got something good without needing to shout about it. The only minor thing I’d mention is that you’ll want a car – the local bus runs but not frequently enough if you’re planning day trips around the island. Still, with a 9.7 rating from other guests, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks they’ve nailed the balance between comfort and authenticity here.

  Everything ! The very warm welcome from Eleftheria and her daughters who treated us like family members, the very ultra well furnished and equipped house, the modern design, the location close to every amazing spots in Rhodos, the home made olive oil! Was the best stay ever in all islands and location I did in Greece! I will come back girls 😘

  We had an amazing stay in this beautiful apartament! Clean and neat, quiet and with a beautiful view. We had no issues with WiFi or road to the property. You need a car to get in there. Very convenient location, between Lindos and Faliraki.

  The location is perfect since Afantou is between Lindos and the city of Rhodes, or 10 minutes from Faliraki.
  The apartment was shiny clean, with a modern fresh look.
  The mattress was very comfortable and the douche cabin was great.
  Having a washing machine, a big fridge and a fully equipped kitchen is ideal for long stays.
  The apartment was cleaned daily.
  
  What could be improved: Being out of the village of Afantou, make it very quite, however you will need a vehicle for transportation. Also the wi-fi wasn't too fast.

  We recently stayed at the Sebastian Apartment in the Afandou area of Rhodes and had a fantastic experience. The apartment was top-notch, fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our host, Elefteria, was incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of her way to ensure we had a great time. The cleanliness of the apartment was impeccable, as it was cleaned very frequently. We highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Rhodes and would definitely stay here again.   Nice location overlooking Afantou village and beach (though it is quite far and you can't see it 🙂 ). It is remotely located (you definitely need a car to get to the property), so it is very silent. Elefteria, the host, was extremely nice with us, providing peppers and melons from her own garden. She cleaned every day and changed the towels and sheets whenever required. All kitchen tools are available. Air conditioning in every room, well functioning and well cleaned (no smell coming out from any of the units). We had the 109 sqm apartment (family of two adults and two lads) and our friends had the 95 sqm studio (the same two adults plus two adolescents). In this setup, as you share the yard and the grill, you do not have any worries (if any in the case you do not know your neighbors 🙂 ). Enough place to park two cars in front of the facility, and one inside the yard. The smell of the rosemary planted in the yard is divine! Both the apartment and the studio have modern design and the furniture is quite new. No problems with water. Hot and cold, it was provided all the time. It is also available filtered water directly on the tap (so you do not need to buy bottled water). Well covered by WiFi, but you can experience Internet outage from time to time. This is not the problem of the inside router though. It is the Internet provider.
  I highly appreciate the kind of the service we received here. I wish all private host managed facilities to have the same level wherever I will go next.
