Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Salora Studio-Apartments? I was expecting just another beachside accommodation, but this place actually has some character to it. It’s right there on Stegna Beach – and I mean literally a stone’s throw from the water, not the usual “beachfront” that requires a ten-minute trek through hotel grounds. The building itself has this clean, modern vibe without feeling sterile, which honestly is harder to pull off than you’d think on these Greek islands.

The studio setup works really well here. Each unit feels more like a proper apartment than a hotel room – there’s actual counter space in the kitchenette, and the balconies are sized for people, not decoration. I spent most evenings out there with a beer from the little market down the road (it’s maybe a three-minute walk, run by this older Greek couple who’ll remember your name after day two). The beach below gets busy during peak afternoon hours, but mornings are pretty magical – just locals walking their dogs and maybe a few early swimmers. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night; you get the sound of waves without the party noise that plagues some of the busier resort areas.

Stegna itself is one of those spots that hasn’t been completely overrun yet. There are a handful of tavernas along the beach – the one with the blue umbrellas does incredible grilled octopus, by the way – but it still feels like a place where actual Greek families come for vacation. The drive from Archangelos takes about fifteen minutes through some gorgeous mountain scenery, though I’d recommend having a car since bus service is pretty limited. Parking at Salora was never an issue, which… well, anyone who’s dealt with Greek island parking knows that’s worth mentioning. The whole area has this relaxed energy that’s perfect if you want to actually unwind rather than check items off a tourist list. I mean, you’re close enough to explore the rest of Rhodes if you want – Lindos is maybe forty-five minutes south – but honestly, I found myself just wanting to stick around Stegna most days.

  Fantastic, quiet location only a minutes walk from the beach. Well equipped apartment, lovely and clean and towels and sheets changed regularly by the lovely staff. Savvas was always on hand for any questions or queries and couldn’t have been more helpful. Would definitely stay again.

  Our stay at Salora Studio-Apartments was absolutely amazing! The apartment was spacious, comfortable, very clean and well equipped with everything (kitchen appliances, fresh towels, fresh bed linen, toilet paper, hand soap, dish washing soap). We had a spacious terrace which we also loved. The owner, Savvas was very friendly, helpful and responsive, we received speedy assistance and responses from him whenever we had any questions. The cleaning ladies were also very nice and have done an amazing job in keeping the apartment sparkly clean. The location of the accommodation is also wonderful, it is a 1 minute walk from the sandy Stegna beach, the grocery store and many great restaurants. Wifi was working perfectly too. We absolutely loved our stay here and we hope to be back again soon! 🙂

  Really good place, few meters to the nice beach, Shop that is opened from 7:30 to 22:30 even closer, many restaurants around. Clean and comfortable apartment.

  Salora hotel is a peaceful, very clean and neat, well organised family business. The cleaning service is done every day on a very high level without any disturbance for the guests and in convenient time in a professional manner. During our 15 nights stay bedding and towels were changed 5 times. Bathroom and toilet represent high standard and kitchen anekse has got everything what is needed for self catering holiday. Location of the hotel is perfect, it's 30 m of Stegna Beach High Road where you have got a big amount of restaurants and bars. The hotel is 1minut walk to the lovely, sandy beach withe very clean water and big choice of sunbeds. Shopping is easy because 30 m from hotel you have very good supermarket.
  Savvas and his dad Jack can communicate with guests in 3 languages, including obviously English. They are very warm and friendly people, always in touch with guests, always ready to help if it is needed. Our stay in Salora Hotel was relaxing and lovely, huge thanks for the hospitality to the whole staff , particularly Savvas for our comfortable stay. We will definitely recommend this place and come back next year.

  On arrival, we were greeted by a member of staff who explained everything we needed to know about the property, advised us on the opening hours of local restaurants and shops, and showed us how to get around.

  The location was perfect. Very clean and comfy rooms with all needed facilities. The staff is super nice and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: We found out on the spot that seperate beds should be requested additionally, even if they were included in the reservation.
