You know what struck me first about Salagro Seaview Villas? It’s actually tucked into this surprisingly quiet corner of Salakos where you can hear the cicadas over any traffic noise – which honestly isn’t saying much since Salakos isn’t exactly a bustling metropolis. The name promises sea views and delivers, though I’d say it’s more about those glimpses through the pine trees than dramatic clifftop panoramas. Still, there’s something really satisfying about sipping your morning coffee on the terrace while looking out toward the Aegean, especially when the light hits the water just right around 7 AM.

The villas themselves feel properly Greek without being kitschy about it – white-washed walls, blue shutters, that whole thing, but done with actual taste. I mean, the rooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and the kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped (they even have proper olive oil, not that generic stuff). What really won me over was how quiet it gets at night. Salakos sits inland from the coastal chaos, so you’re maybe a 15-minute drive from Kameiros beach if you want sand, but you’re also blissfully removed from the party crowd that tends to plague other parts of Rhodes. The pool area gets decent sun most of the day, though the loungers fill up pretty quickly during peak season – I learned to claim mine early.

Honestly, the location is the real selling point here. Salakos village itself is tiny but authentic in that way where locals still outnumber tourists, and there’s this excellent taverna called Platanos (literally under a massive plane tree) about a five-minute walk away where the moussaka is legitimately homemade. The staff at Salagro seem to actually know the area too – they pointed me toward this hiking trail that leads up to some Byzantine ruins that most guidebooks completely miss. Parking’s never an issue, check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the place maintains that relaxed Greek island vibe without feeling neglected. Sure, it’s not luxury resort territory, but for a proper 4-star experience where you can actually unwind and explore authentic Rhodes beyond the medieval town crowds, it hits the mark. The 8.8 rating makes sense – it’s the kind of place where everything works as it should, the setting delivers on its promises, and you leave feeling like you discovered something rather than just checking boxes on a tourist itinerary.

  Beautiful green and quiet location, walking distance (30 min) from the nearby village. Small unheated private pool. Enough room around the bungalow to keep in/out of the sun as wanted. Nice, clean (unheated) common bigger swimming pool.
  
  What could be improved: While the bungalow is large enough, the bedroom is in open connection with the living room.
  Kitchen tools need extension.

  Naktsmītne atrodas skaistā un klusā vietā. Pavadījām šeit sešas dienas. Ļoti skaists skats paveras no terases uz jūru un kalniem. Ja svarīgs ir skats, tad šī naktsmītne to sniedz ar uzviju. Mēs dzīvojām mājā Orange Tree un baseins bija koplietošanas. Braucot uz šo villu ieteiktu pārtikas produktus sapirkt iepriekš, jo tuvumā nav lielveikals.Personāls ar ko sarakstījos booking bija ļoti laipns un atsaucīgs.
  
  What could be improved: Vienīgais, kas man pietrūka bija pie baseina bija saules krēsli, tie varēja būt vairāk, lai visiem viesiem būtu kur sauļoties. Vēl būtu gribējies, ka koplietošanas baseins būtu norobežots ( ar krūmājiem vai nopietnāku žogu) no villas, kas atrodas tam blakus. Savādāk tas vairāk ir kā privātais baseins blakus esošai villai.

  Wir hatten das Haus Oregano. Die Lage des Hauses mit privaten Pool ein Traum. Auch das Haus ist wunderschön, wie das gesamte Grundstück mit viel Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten.9

  מקום מושלם! נוף מדהים! לא היה חסר כלום. חוויה מדהימה שלא נשכח! היחס של אנני נציגת הבעלים, היה מקסים, עזרה לנו בכל מה שצריך בזמן השהות שלנו!
  
  What could be improved: לא מנקים את החדרים בזמן השהות. לנו זה פחות הפריע. אבל המנקה והצוות שואלים אם חסר משהו ואם צריכים השלמות ודואגים להכל.

  Traumhaft schöne Anlage. Wir buchen immer kleine, idyllische Unterkünfte, aber so schön wie hier hatten wir es noch nie. In absoluter Ruhe gelegen, mit Blick auf die grüne Bergkulisse und das Meer auf der anderen Seite (etwas entfernt). Perfekter großer Pool (flach zum Reinlegen auf der einen Seite) mit kurzem Weg zu den Steinhäusern. Hier nochmal ein kleiner privater Pool, an dem man z.B. den Sonnenuntergang genießen kann. Wird regelmäßig gereinigt. Poolhandtücher vorhanden. Zwei Terrassen, Außenküche, Waschmaschine, diverse Gartenmöbel und Liegen usw. Sogar Zitronen- und Limettenbaum direkt im eigenen Garten- wunderschön. In der Küche gab es einen Sandwichmaker für das Frühstück. Sehr nette Verwalterin. Im Ort Salakos gibt es mehrere kleine Restaurants auf einer kleinen Plaza. Unbedingt das mit den blauen Stühlen ausprobieren (die Oma kocht, einfach den Empfehlungen folgen). Gut und günstig auch der Grill direkt daneben. Wir empfehlen diese Anlage zu 100% – am besten, wenn man die Tage/Woche davor schon an der Ostküste unterwegs war, denn dorthin ist es von Salakos ein ganzes Stück, und die Highlights dort sollte man nicht verpassen (z.b. Grand Blue Beach, Lindos, Kallithea). Die Strände unten an der Westküste nahe Salakos sind hier nämlich nicht vergleichbar! Das ist der einzige Nachteil. Empfehlung für eine tolle Bucht hier (ca 25min von Salakos): Kopria Beach und danach zum Castell Kritinia.
  
  What could be improved: Es gibt wirklich überhaupt nichts auszusetzen. Einzig (aber das hat mit der Anlage nichts zu tun), dass die Strände an der Westküste uns nicht so gefallen haben (außer Kopria) und man demnach weiter fahren muss. Aber für Ausflüge Richtung Westen gut geeignet, und zur absoluten Entspannung sowieso (wenn man z.b.die 1.Woche woanders ist).

  Idealne domki w miejscu zacisznym, z dala od ulicy, gwarantują prawdziwy reset i odpoczynek.
  
  W domkach jest wszystko co potrzeba, zestaw kosmetyków, garnki, przyprawy.
  Z domku piękne widoki, to był wspaniały czas i chętnie jeszcze wrócimy.

  אני ממליץ בחום על מקום האירוח המדהים הזה. המקום ממוקם בין הערים ומציע חוויה פשוט נהדרת. התחושה של רוגע ושלווה במרכז הטבע היא מדהימה. הצוות אדיב ותמיד מוכן לעזור. החדרים יפים ומסודרים מאוד עם נוף מהמם. אווירה נעימה ומרגיעה.
  
  What could be improved: המרחק של מקום האירוח ממרכז האי, שכולל נסיעה של כשעה, יכול לא להתאים לאנשים שמעוניינים להיות קרובים יותר לפעילויות עירוניות ומעדיפים נסיעות קצרות יותר. עם זאת, מקום האירוח מציע שקט ושלווה מרהיבים לאלה שמחפשים נופים טבעיים.

  Wir hatten wirklich 4 entspannte Tage in der Villa. Mit Navi findet man sich sehr gut dort hin. Der Weg führt ein Stück über eine nicht-befestigte Straße und ohne Auto ist man aufgeschmissen! Der Weg lohnt sich aber alle Male! Die Aussicht war einmalig (wir hatten die letzte Villa auf der rechten Seite).
  Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Der Ort Salakos ist nur wenige Autominuten entfernt. Hier gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt und 4 tolle Restaurants!
  Die Villa ist „griechisch-rustikal“ eingerichtet. Das wichtigste ist vorhanden (nur ein Toaster wäre noch toll gewesen) und bei Problemen war immer jemand erreichbar und hat sich gekümmert! Wir haben nur nette und hilfsbereite Menschen kennenlernen dürfen.
  Einen kleinen Minuspunkt gibt es, weil die Küchenutensilien schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen sind.
  Wir können die Villas weiterempfehlen!
