You know what caught me off guard about Saint Francis Apartment? The location is actually perfect – like, annoyingly perfect for exploring Rhodes Town. I mean, Stefanou Kazouli street might not ring a bell if you’re just looking at maps, but trust me, you’re basically nestled right in the heart of the old medieval quarter without being stuck on one of those crazy touristy strips where you can’t sleep past 7 AM.

The thing is, this place feels more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s apartment than some cookie-cutter hotel situation. The building has this understated elegance – honestly, I walked past it twice before realizing I’d arrived because it blends so seamlessly with the historic architecture around it. But once you’re inside, it’s clear why they’ve got that 9.7 rating. The apartments (and yeah, they really are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette shoved in the corner) have been renovated with this perfect balance of modern comfort and respect for the original character. You’ll find yourself actually wanting to hang out in your room, which – let’s be real – doesn’t happen that often when you’re traveling.

What really sold me was how quiet it gets at night despite being so central. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from Sokratous Street where all the restaurant action happens, but the courtyard-style setup means you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM. And parking – God, parking in Rhodes Town is usually a nightmare, but the staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give you proper directions to spots that won’t leave you circling for an hour. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too; none of that hovering-over-your-shoulder-while-you-fill-out-forms nonsense. They handed over the keys, gave me a genuine rundown of the neighborhood (including where to get the best coffee, which turned out to be spot-on), and let me get on with my vacation. It’s that kind of place where the 4-star rating feels almost conservative – like they’re not trying to oversell themselves, which honestly makes the whole experience feel more authentic and relaxed.

  We had booked this apartment for our week-long trip to Rhodes in September 2024. We loved the apartment and the city so much that we extended our stay for another three days.
  
  About the apartment: It is located right outside the gates of Old Town, a super ideal spot for tourists. The nearby coast, beaches, supermarkets, and pretty much everything are within walking distance of 15-20 minutes. It's a spacious three-bedroom apartment (two of which are perfect for kids and even adults, too). Huge living room with a balcony overlooking the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi.
  
  You wouldn't need a car to explore this city area, which is what we did. We later rented a car to drive more inwards towards other parts of the city. Lots of free public parking spots are available near the apartment.
  
  About the host: Michael is a wonderful person and host. He communicated with us right after we made the booking and kept track of our flight dates. He met us as we stepped out of the taxi and gave us a brief tour of the apartment.
  He later also checked with us via WhatsApp about our needs and gave recommendations whenever we needed them. He was always available.
  
  If you are planning a long stay in Rhodes, this is the apartment for you. You don't need to look any further.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing. Would definitely love to come back and stay here again.

  Michael is very helpful and polite. He is someone who will answer any questions you may have immediately and help you. As for the apartment; there is more than what is seen in the pictures, there is nothing missing. The location is magnificent, in the Old Town, within walking distance to restaurants. This was our first time here. We definitely plan to come back next year.

  The house was renovated, all home appliances were new and clean. The location was perfect. It was very close to the old town. Kids loved the house. Micheal was very helpful and friendly. We loved the coffee capsules, fresh fruits and wine he left for us to try.

  The apartment is located in an ideal location: close to the beach, Old Town, supermarket and restaurants. The apartment was really spacious, clean, there was everything we needed. Michael who let us in was very friendly and kind. We will be recommending this place to everyone! It was PERFECT!!

  Η τοποθεσία ήταν εξαιρετική, με εύκολο πάρκιγκ και πρόσβαση σε οτι χρειαζόμασταν. Ο οικοδεσπότης ήταν ιδιαίτερα ευέλικτος, τόσο κατά την άφιξη, όσο και κατά την αναχώρησή μας. Το διαμέρισμα ήταν άνετο, εξοπλισμένο, καθαρό και κάλυψε κάθε μας ανάγκη. Ευχαριστούμε.
