You know what struck me first about Rosemary Rhodes Villa? It’s not trying to be something it isn’t. Tucked away on that winding provincial road that cuts through Malona Village, this place feels like someone’s well-loved family retreat that just happens to welcome guests. I mean, with a 9.7 rating, I had high expectations, but honestly – it exceeded them in ways I didn’t expect.

The thing about Malona Village is that most tourists zoom right past it heading to the flashier spots, which is actually perfect for this hotel. You’re getting authentic Greek island life without the cruise ship crowds, and the villa capitalizes on that beautifully. The owners clearly know their stuff – they’ve managed to create something that feels both refined and genuinely Greek. The rooms have this lovely mix of traditional stonework and modern touches that don’t feel forced or Instagram-staged. And can we talk about the mornings? You’ll wake up to the sound of goat bells from the hillside (I know that sounds cliché, but it’s real) and the smell of wild rosemary that grows literally everywhere around the property – hence the name, obviously.

What really won me over, though, was how they handle the details that matter. The parking situation is sorted – no circling around narrow village streets with your rental car like some places make you do. Check-in was refreshingly human; the staff actually remembered my name and seemed to genuinely care about whether I found the local taverna they recommended (I did, and it was perfect). The Wi-Fi works reliably, which matters when you’re tucked away in a village like this, and the water pressure is surprisingly excellent for a traditional building. Sure, you might hear some activity from neighboring rooms occasionally – these old stone walls have character, not soundproofing – but it’s never intrusive. Honestly, the whole place has this lived-in warmth that makes those big resort chains feel sterile by comparison. If you’re looking for that authentic Greek experience without sacrificing comfort, and you don’t mind being a little off the beaten path, this villa gets it absolutely right.

  It was the best villa we ever stayed on our vacations. Very clean, comfortable, beautiful – we loved everything. We found many compliments on the arrival – a bottle of wine, Greek sweets, fruits, beer. Kids loved the pool. There is a small supermarket 5 min walking, and we used a car to go to Agathi beach (absolutely beautiful, sandy, suitable for children). The hosts are amazing, always ready to help. We really loved everything and if we ever go back to Rodos then we'll stay in Rosemary villa.

  Brand new and well maintained facilities! a lot of space. Clean pool (70cm-1.30m). Sun beds. 5 mins drive from the beach. Great owners, responsive and helpful. For family with kids this is a blast! 💥
  
  What could be improved: Nothing really. Internet 🛜 is sometimes slow, but this is by provider. Microwave can be great addition.

  We had chose the Rosemary Rhodes Villa because of its quiet location. The villa is fully equipped, 4 bedrooms, each bedroom has air conditioning and TV. On each floor 1 shower with toilet. Roller shutters all over the house, so that it does not have to get hot in the house. The kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator, oven and dishwasher.
  There is also a washing machine in the storage room next to the front door 🙂 The swimmingpool is a great extra. If you bring your own laptop, you can connect it to the beamer present and watch TV on the terrace. We arrived at midnight and as a surprise Maria and Filippos had made mousaka and greek salad for us, it was delicious! The fridge was already reasonably stocked with water and lemonade. Thanks again for that! You do need a car if you want to explore the island.
  
  What could be improved: I can't really think of a downside. Perhaps the pool water could be a few degrees warmer. 🙂

  One of the best hostess!! Caring, kind and hospitable! The villa was better than in photos, it was clean, beautiful and we had the best time staying there with my friends!

  The hosts were fantastic, very easy to contact and very thoughtful (with surprise gifts throughout our stay).

  What could be improved: The villa was exceptional. Could’ve done with a few more coat hangers but not a real issue. The beds downstairs were less comfortable than the ones upstairs but again not a real issue. Overall fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend:)

  Хозяева гостимприимные. Всегда были с нами на связи, очень быстро отвечали на все наши вопросы.Встретили нас с фруктами, сладким и прохладительными напитками(вино, пиво, сок и вода). Каждые два дня хозяева приходили чистить бассейн и всегда с гостинцами.В доме было всё необходимое для проживания. Всё продумано до мелочей.
  Уютная веранда с бассейном. Удобный газовый гриль.
  Приватное место в спокойном районе.
  
  What could be improved: Надо учитывать, что вилла находится долеко от моря. Но мы брали машину на всё время прибывания и нас это никак не смущало.
