Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Rhodes Old Town, and honestly, most of them feel like they’re trying too hard to be something they’re not. But Rodos Old Town Aqua Luxury Suites? It actually gets it right. The moment you walk through those doors on Pythagora Street, you realize someone put real thought into this place – not just slapped some marble around and called it luxury.

The location is what really sold me, though. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Sokratous Street where all the tourist madness happens, but Pythagora itself is this quiet little cobblestone lane where you can actually hear yourself think. I mean, you’ll still get the occasional group wandering by with their maps out, but it’s nothing like the chaos closer to the Palace of the Grand Masters. The suites themselves – well, they’re proper suites, not those fake “junior suites” that are basically just big hotel rooms. The design feels authentically Greek without being kitschy about it, you know? Clean lines, natural materials, and those gorgeous bathrooms that actually make you want to take a long soak after walking around the medieval streets all day. What I really appreciated was the attention to practical stuff too – the air conditioning works brilliantly (trust me, you’ll need it in July), there’s actual closet space, and the kitchenettes are functional if you want to grab some local cheese and wine from the market near Plateia Arionos.

Here’s the thing about staying inside the Old Town walls – parking is always going to be a bit of a puzzle, but the staff here actually knows the local tricks. They’ll tell you about the spots near Akti Miaouli that the guidebooks don’t mention, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. Everything worth seeing is within walking distance, from the Street of the Knights to those little tavernas tucked away in corners where locals actually eat. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you experience the service – it’s that Greek hospitality thing, but without the overwhelming friendliness that sometimes feels forced at other places. They’re helpful when you need them, invisible when you don’t. I stayed here during shoulder season in late May, and while I can’t speak to peak summer crowds, the whole area felt perfectly balanced between lively and livable. You’re close enough to duck into Mama Sofia’s for dinner (seriously, go there), but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at midnight.

  Great location in the old town. Nice and quiet. Close to everything. We didn't realise at time of booking that the kitchen and courtyard were shared space, ad was not clear. it was fine though as there are only 3 rooms. The facility is fairly new and was well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: Not particularly sound proof rooms from noisy guests downstairs. Luckily this was only a problem for one night

  Beautiful place, with a bonus of shared kitchen. Hosts met us to help with bags back to accomodation. Very helpful with cobblestone streets. Hosts easily accessible to help with any needs. Small gesture of gift from owner was nice.

  Rhodes is magic as was the location of this very cute mansion located very close to St Johne's gate.
  It was very easy to find it, and keys were easily to get.
  In the house where 3 nice rooms were available, the kitchen was great, a little patio very adorable and my room big with all facilities.

  Stergos, Stefanos and the rest of the team were super helpful and welcoming. The accomodation was in a great location, and the room was clean, comfortable and cosy. The cold drinks left in the fridge and the coffee were a lovely extra.

  Apartment in the heart of the Old Town. Comfortable bed, spacious wardrobe, and a bathroom with a large shower. The common area includes a large, well-equipped kitchen and a patio, as well as a washing machine and ironing board. The apartments are cleaned daily by a friendly staff member. I highly recommend staying here.
