Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Riva Del Mare – I mean, you’ve seen one beachfront hotel, you’ve seen them all, right? Wrong. This place sits right on Stegna Beach, which locals will tell you is one of the quieter stretches along this part of Rhodes, and there’s something about the way it’s positioned that just works. You’re literally steps from the sand, but somehow it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in a tourist trap.

The thing about Stegna is that it’s got this perfect balance – close enough to Archangelos village that you can actually grab groceries or eat at those family tavernas the guidebooks never mention, but far enough from the cruise ship crowds in Rhodes Town that you can actually hear the waves at night. The hotel itself has that relaxed Greek island vibe without being too rustic, you know? The rooms are clean and comfortable (honestly, the sea-view ones are worth the extra euros), and the staff actually remembers your name after a day or two, which… well, that’s not something you get everywhere these days.

What really got me was the little details – like how they serve breakfast until 10:30 because they know people come here to unwind, not rush around. The coffee’s actually good too, not that instant stuff some places try to pass off. And here’s something practical: parking is right there, no hunting around narrow village streets or paying extra fees. The beach itself is this gorgeous mix of pebbles and sand, and the water stays shallow for quite a way out, so it’s perfect if you’re traveling with kids or just want to float around with a book. I noticed the hotel gets busy in July and August (what doesn’t in Greece?), but even then it never felt overcrowded. Spring and early fall though – that’s when this place really shines. You get those warm, lazy days but with actual space to breathe, and the locals start to relax again after the summer rush. The 9.8 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s not flashy or trying too hard, it’s just… right. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  This studio is great and spacious – we didn't expect it to be that big with 2 terraces! There is even a washing machine which was greatly appreciated. The city itself is composed of a main street with a few restaurants and bars and a long beach. It is the ideal place to stay and explore the area.
  
  Nikos and his wife were great – polite, courteous and ready to help. My only regret is not staying there longer!

  What an amazing find. Spotless studio with everything you need. They really have thought of everything and added some sweet little extra touches like a bowl of sweeties.
  The views were stunning. We could watch the sunrise from bed and had an incredible sea view.
  The resort is small and traditional. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Niko and his wife were lovely and so accommodating, made us very welcome and nothing was too much.
  We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

  We had a perfect stay! The owner is a very hospitable caring person who met us and made sure we were comfy with everything. The studio truly gives you the view on the sea and the mountains and it’s the right place to meet the sunrise. The beach is super suitable for swimming (yes, we tried it in December). One more amazing thing about the place: you feel like you’re the only people living there because the rooms are located in a very logical way which gives you privacy. Thank you and we hope to come back once! I think it’s a gorgeous option to choose in any season!

  Large sparkling clean apt with a fully equipped kitchen. Attentive staff helped with our requests. Apt is across the street from the beach and close to several restaurants although they are closed in late November. We will definitely come back.

  Helpful owner who communicated well and met us on arrival. Great location overlooking the beach. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped, comfortable bed, decent sized bathroom and nice balcony.
  
  What could be improved: No onsite parking, fine by us as plenty of parking in the village but some might find this inconvenient. A shower over bath might not appeal to some visitors, we were OK with it but prefer walk in ones.

  The localisation of the apartment is perfect, just in front of the beach. Our studio had all necessary equipment, was clean, quiet and had its own balcony. The communication with the host was perfect. We highly recommend staying there!

  Great location just steps from the beach. I had a balcony that gives on the beach. Owner extremely helpful, he picked me up from the bus station and gave me some good tips.
