You know what struck me first about Pontoria Stegna Studios? It’s how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between being close enough to everything but far enough from the Rhodes town chaos. I mean, Stegna Beach isn’t one of those postcard-famous spots that everyone talks about, but honestly – that’s exactly why it works so well.

The studios themselves are pretty thoughtfully laid out. They’re not trying to be fancy in that over-the-top way some places do, but everything just… works. The kitchenettes actually have decent-sized fridges (you’d be surprised how many places skimp on this), and the balconies face the right direction so you’re not getting blasted by the afternoon sun while you’re trying to have your coffee. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night – you get the sound of the waves without the party noise that plagues some of the beaches closer to Lindos. The owners clearly get that people come here to actually relax, not to rage until 3 AM.

Archangelos village is about a 10-minute drive inland, and it’s worth the trip if you want to see how locals actually live – there’s this little bakery there that opens ridiculously early and makes these cheese pies that’ll ruin you for airport food forever. But honestly, you might not want to leave Stegna Beach much once you settle in. The water here is that perfect clear blue that makes you wonder why you ever swim in pools, and the beach doesn’t get completely packed even in July (though I’d still recommend the shoulder seasons if you can swing it). There’s a decent taverna right on the beach – nothing revolutionary, but they do a solid grilled octopus and the guy running it remembers your order after two visits.

The 9.9 rating isn’t just feel-good fluff, either. Check-in was smooth, parking is actually available (not a given in Greece, trust me), and when the air conditioning started making weird noises on day three, someone was there to fix it within an hour. These are the kinds of details that separate a good stay from a great one. Sure, it’s not the Ritz – the WiFi can be spotty during peak hours and the shower pressure is just okay – but it delivers on what it promises without any nasty surprises on checkout day.

  Hands down the best accommodation we have had in Europe this trip. Modern, spacious, clean and comfortable with secure onsite parking. A short walk into the village and the beach where you will find many amazing tavernas. Fotini is the most gracious and helpful host – there was water and juice for us on arrival. The next day Fotini bought us grapes from her own garden, and on the night of our departure we received a beautiful card and some sweets. You will not do better than to stay here!

  Well appointed, spacious, very clean room with a good size balcony overlooking the length of the beach. The hosts, Fotini and Tassos were extremely helpful and welcoming. It's about a 5 minute walk down hill (a little longer coming back up!) to the start of the beach and tavernas.

  We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pontoria during our holidays. The place is incredibly nice, clean, and very new, offering everything you could need for a comfortable stay. However, what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional hospitality of the owner, Fotini.
  
  From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. She was always willing to offer advice and recommendations, which made our stay even more enjoyable. She even lent us a sun umbrella and some beach toys, which our daughter loved. As a delightful surprise, she gave us a lovely goodbye present when we left.
  
  We will treasure our stay here forever and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful holiday experience.

  We had an absolutely wonderful time at these apartments! Everything was perfect: the rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The view from the balcony was breathtaking – we couldn’t get enough of it!
  
  The location of the apartments was also excellent – it was just a short walk to the beach, making our stay even more enjoyable. Everything we needed was nearby: shops, restaurants, and cafe.
  
  A special mention goes to the owners of the apartments – incredibly friendly and attentive people. They were always ready to help, provide guidance, and tell us about all the local attractions and the best places to visit. Their care and attention made our stay truly unforgettable.
