Morning Routine

The continental breakfast was served in a lovely courtyard area surrounded by bougainvillea and olive trees. Nothing elaborate, but fresh bread, local honey, Greek yogurt, and strong coffee — plus the family always made sure there were fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from their garden. I actually looked forward to these quiet morning moments before heading out for the day. The owners were around most mornings too, happy to give directions or recommend beaches that aren’t overrun with tour groups.

What really makes Pension Annoula work is the combination of genuine hospitality and that perfect location rating guests keep mentioning. You’re positioned well for day trips — the famous Tsambika Beach is just a short drive, and you can easily reach Lindos or even Rhodes Town when you want more action. But then you come back to this peaceful village setting where you can actually hear the cicadas at night instead of traffic. The owners treat you like family rather than just another booking, and for the price point, you’re getting way more value than you’d find at some sterile resort. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why you wanted to visit a Greek island in the first place.
