Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Peni Sol Superior Studios – the name’s a bit of a mouthful and the building looks pretty understated from the street. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the outside. This little gem sits right in the heart of Lindos village, which means you’re literally a five-minute walk from those famous ancient ruins everyone comes to see, but also close enough to the main square that you can grab a proper Greek coffee without having to trek across town.

The studios themselves are actually really well thought out – I mean, they’re not huge, but whoever designed them clearly understood what travelers actually need. The kitchenette has everything you’d want for making breakfast or storing those amazing local olives and cheese you’ll inevitably buy too much of at the market. And the balconies… well, depending on which room you get, you might catch glimpses of the Acropolis or at least the maze of whitewashed buildings that make Lindos so photogenic. The air conditioning works properly too, which honestly can’t be said for every place in Greece during those brutal August afternoons when the temperature hits 35°C and you’re melting after climbing up to the ancient site.

What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being so central. You’d think with all the restaurants and bars nearby it would be chaos, but the way the building’s positioned – sort of tucked back from the main pedestrian flow – keeps most of the noise at bay. The owners clearly know their stuff too; check-in was smooth, they actually gave useful recommendations (not just the touristy spots), and when I had a minor issue with the shower pressure, someone was there to fix it within an hour. The whole place feels like it’s run by people who actually care rather than some faceless hotel chain. I stayed there in late September when the crowds had thinned out but the weather was still perfect for swimming, and honestly, I can see why it has such stellar reviews. It’s one of those places where everything just works the way it should – nothing flashy or Instagram-perfect, just solid, comfortable, and exactly where you want to be when you’re exploring one of the most beautiful villages in the Greek islands.

  Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Very romantic with a stunning view of the acropolis. Private and very well laid out on the inside. Host was helpful, clean towels every day and lovely coffee machine to use. Also helped us arrange taxi to and from the port. Would highly recommend
  
  What could be improved: If you are not a couple the shower is open to the room- didn’t affect us but just an FYI for anyone!! Beautiful stay.

  Really amazing accomodation in the heart of Lindos, but somehow off the beaten path where all the aggitation is, so the location is very quiet and peaceful. The room itself is lovely, very clean and modern, however the view to Lindos and the Acropolis is the best part! Also very good and quick communication with the host, before and during our stay. I highly recommend Peni Sol Studios if ever coming to Lindos!

  The location was great. The room was sufficient for my wife and I. The terrace with the view of Lindos and the bay was great. For the week we were there, we stayed on the terrace to watch the view and ate snacks instead of going out to a restaurant. There was a fridge which was stocked with welcome drinks and for the morning, espresso machine and nescafe. My wife enjoyed the selection of teas not being a coffee drinker.
  
  What could be improved: Regarding the accomodations and our hosts, Maria and George, we have no 'dislikes'. However, while it wasn't a problem for us, you do get your exercise walking up and down the hills of Lindos.

  Perfect location, it had everything we needed and the bed was super comfortable – we loved the terrace.
  
  What could be improved: The shower is open to the room so not perfect for our mother daughter trip but we just showered whilst the other person was on the terrace for some privacy. The shower is a lovely shower.

  The room with a view is fantastic, nice to have a breakfast on the terrace outside. Room decor is nice. Very clean room and it was cleaned daily, wine, water, orange juice and 4 nespresso capsules on arrival for free. Shower water flow good. Bidet shower in the toilet! Aircon and heating nice. Beach towels were a nice extra service!
  
  What could be improved: The fridge was very noisy at night. The room should have a small table for example in front of the full body mirror – now there was no space for makeup stuff etc. the tiny table top next to the sink was full of coffee maker, water boiler and a toaster – no space for tooth brushes etc. otherwise we found the room spacey enough. Maybe would add some hooks on the wall for jackets and bags. And a suitcase holder.
