Hotel Description

Honestly, when I first pulled up to the Pegasos Deluxe Beach Hotel on Main Street in Faliraki, I wasn’t sure what to expect – I mean, you know how Main Street can get pretty hectic with all the bars and tourist chaos. But here’s the thing: they’ve somehow managed to create this bubble of actual luxury right in the middle of everything, which is sort of impressive when you think about it.

The location is actually perfect if you want to be where the action is without drowning in it. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Anthony Quinn Bay (which, let me tell you, is absolutely worth the hype), and you can easily stroll down to the main strip when you want dinner or drinks, but then retreat back to what feels like a completely different world. The soundproofing must be decent because I was expecting to hear the nightlife noise – especially during peak summer season – but honestly, once you’re in your room with the balcony doors closed, it’s surprisingly quiet. Check-in was smooth too, no waiting around in some cramped lobby like you get at a lot of places in Rhodes.

What really got me was the attention to the small stuff that actually matters when you’re traveling. The pool area has enough shaded spots that you’re not fighting for them at 10 AM (trust me, I’ve been to places where it’s like musical chairs with the loungers), and the beach access is genuinely convenient – not one of those “beach hotel” situations where you still have to walk fifteen minutes through town. The rooms have that crisp, clean feeling without being sterile, and the air conditioning actually works properly, which… well, anyone who’s spent August in Greece knows that’s not always a given. The breakfast spread is solid – nothing groundbreaking, but fresh local ingredients and they actually keep it stocked instead of letting everything sit there getting sad by 9 AM.

I will say, parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’ve got a rental car, especially during July and August when Faliraki is absolutely packed, but the staff will point you toward some side streets where you can usually find something. The whole place has this relaxed but polished vibe – like they know they’re good without needing to constantly remind you about it. You’ll see families during the day, but it doesn’t feel like a kids’ club situation, and in the evenings there’s more of a sophisticated crowd heading out to explore the local tavernas or just enjoying drinks by the pool. For a five-star place with an 8.3 rating, it actually lives up to what you’d hope for without any of that pretentious nonsense some luxury hotels try to pull off.

Friendly staff, good value for money. Kids loved the kids pools. (Our three year old is still talking about the big bucket on top of the slide – it’s tipping over every few minutes and causing a big splash).
We stayed in new rooms, which were amazing. But that said, not all floors seem to be newly renovated.

What could be improved: Initially we booked a sea view room, which was VERY loud from the evening entertainment until after 11pm, also the smell on the balcony was VERY bad there from a water treatment plant next to the hotel. We asked to change room and were moved to a room facing the parking lot, which was super quiet and much more entertaining for the kids anyway (how priorities shift when you have kids 😅). And the smell was gone. The hotel facilities and pools are quite old and run down (except for the kids pools, they seem to be brand new), the outdoor furniture however is nice and the sun beds comfy.
The Food at the buffet was not very interesting and the eating area does not have a very nice atmosphere. So overall very mixed, but def great with kids if you don’t want to spend a fortune for a beautiful boutique hotel and you are ok with not so amazing buffet food. (there are a few nice beach restaurants that serve great food nearby after all).

Everything was just spot on….from the taxi picking us up, organised by the hotel, the location excellent, our room was stunning. I had previously requested a great room overlooking the pool & the sea. The wonderful staff did just that. We had paid extra for a seaview deluxe room on the adults section of the hotel. We were on the 5th floor room 547. The food was very varied & the a la carte restaurant was excellent. The beach was beautiful & safe. The infinity pool was amazing. The hotel was so clean. The staff were so kind & helpful. Fully inclusive package was worth having. Yes, we know in a fully inclusive package the spirits are going to be local BUT there is an option to pay for real cocktails at a cost. I found the ones the efficient barmen made hit the spot. The local lager beer was very good which was free with the all inclusive package The infinity pool which is a new addition for 2024 was spectacular. The pools are warm enough despite not being heated. This hotel had everything you could wish for, for a perfect holiday. Thank you Pegasos Deluxe Beach Hotel Management & staff 🙌

What could be improved: I felt with staying for 2 weeks another type of restaurant which wasn't a buffet self service would be great. Mexican or Italian. You were only allowed one free allocation a week at the a la carte restaurant. Great to be waited on. Certain times in the buffet restaurant were very busy & manic.

The hotel needs to invest in a better water sanitation sewage treatment plant. When the wind blew in a certain direction it hovered over the outside eating area. Shame., the breakfast outside area had great views & was cool despite the hot sunshine.

  • Hanna from Poland – 20 October 2024 (9/10)

The beach is part of the hotel where you can have beach chairs free of charge. It is nice and clean. The balcony view is amazing. All the staff is super friendly, especially Tsabikos, Andreas, Joanna from the bar. Already missing you guys 🙂 room was always super clean.

What could be improved: The beds are really soft so not really comfortable. I also got food poisoning once. TV could be in any other language besides German 🙂 But it doesn’t matter as everything was very good !

  • Heather from United Kingdom – 20 October 2024 (9/10)

Excellent location with options of bus travel to other locations. Beach sports available close by & the lunch time grill food etc

What could be improved: The food at night was bland, cold & people were wasteful., ran out of dishes & put something totally different out. We stopped eating in there at night The drinks tasted funny, so ordered our own so paid for those too!

  • Ákos from Hungary – 12 October 2024 (7/10)

The hotel , room and the beach is very nice as I expected based on the pictures.
The staff is also helpful and nice.

What could be improved: I asked for ealry check-in well before our arrival, but it was not possible when we arrived.

We booked 1 extra day because the last day our flight was in the evening, so we don't need to leave the room in the morning and we can still enjoy the beverages and after the day we can have a shower in our room before our trip ends.
One day before our last day I asked for lunch package, because we won't be able to participate the last breakfast, however the receiptionist said, it is not possible because they don't have an option like this. From a 4* hotel I would expect that they can prepare some snacks, especially I booked an extra day.

The food is average quality, nothing culinary. If you visit local restaurant you feel the difference

You get every drink in reusable plastic cups with full of ice. I would prefer either disposable cups or glasses for hygien reason. You don't get bottled water, but there are those weird water machines (i'm not sure if it's filtered or not and how often the filter is replaced if it is), but the taste of water is terrible.
Unfortunately we got a vomiting virus which took 1 day for both us wtith 1 day difference. I believe it was because of the icecubes and I assume the icecubes are made of tap water.

  • Marc-philippe from Switzerland – 9 October 2024 (8/10)

the private pool, the personnel very nice and helpful. the Beach and the restaurant Eli. The buffet was surprisingly good quality.

What could be improved: the island bug each of us got 🙁 the bungalow was a bit noisy and there was stinky air. the other guests sometimes didn't respect our private pool and took a bath.

  • Alexandra from Hungary – 1 October 2024 (9/10)

Price/value rate is very good. There was always free deck chair at the beach, nice rooms and social places. All inclusive services have a very good quality. Rhodos town is easily accessible by local bus. The beach is good, sea was warm and shallow. Highly recommended!

What could be improved: Sometimes, the water machine gave only lukewarm water. The restaurant is often too crowdy.

  • Zsolt from Hungary – 29 September 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Two lifts are far not enough for this number of guests.

  • Maureen from United Kingdom – 28 September 2024 (8/10)

It was very clean and staff friendly

What could be improved: Staff in the shop were quite rude, the lady in jewellery shop very friendly, didn’t enjoy entertainment

  • Nikola from Slovenia – 27 September 2024 (9/10)

The breakfest was classic with wide variety of food. Also the lunch and dinner. The food for the hotel was above the expectations and we were really surprised. My girlfriend is gluten intolerant and they had everyday marked at least some food that is gluten free with special signs. They also prepared gluten free pasta for her at request. I would really like to thank the whole staf they were amazing. From the reception staf to the barista, kitchen…Plus they serve Gyros, pizza, pancakes as a snacks from 12:00 …delicious. Coming back with some extra kilogram.
