You know what caught me off guard about Pefkos Blue? It’s actually tucked away in this quieter corner of Pefki where you can still hear the waves but you’re not dealing with the chaos that hits some of the beachfront spots during peak season. I mean, Rhodes gets absolutely packed in July and August, but this place manages to feel like you’ve found something the tour groups haven’t completely discovered yet.

The whole setup here is honestly pretty smart – it’s one of those four-star places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with marble lobbies or whatever, but instead focuses on the stuff that actually matters when you’re spending a week in Greece. The rooms are clean and modern without being sterile, and here’s the thing nobody tells you about Greek island hotels – the air conditioning actually works properly here. Trust me, after sweating through a few nights in some of the budget places around Rhodes, you’ll appreciate that more than you think. The balconies are decent sized too, not those tiny ledges where you can barely fit a chair. I spent most mornings out there with coffee, watching the village wake up – there’s something really satisfying about seeing the local bakery guy setting up shop while tourists are still dead asleep.

What really sets this place apart though is the location within Pefki itself. You’re literally a three-minute walk to that gorgeous stretch of beach (the one with the decent taverna that does killer grilled octopus), but you’re also close enough to the main road that getting around the rest of Rhodes is actually doable without renting a car. The local bus stops right there, and honestly, the drivers are pretty reliable – not like some islands where the schedule is more of a suggestion. The staff here gets that balance too – they’re helpful when you need them but they’re not hovering around trying to sell you excursions every five minutes. Check-in was smooth, they actually spoke decent English, and when I had an issue with the shower pressure, someone was up to fix it within an hour. Small thing, but it matters when you’re trying to rinse off beach sand for the fourth time that day. The pool area gets busy around midday, but early morning or late afternoon it’s pretty peaceful, and the poolside bar makes a solid freddo cappuccino if you’re into that Greek coffee scene.

  Very chilled. Food, bar, pool and staff all lovely. Upgrades rooms are lovely.
  
  What could be improved: I thought aircon was included in the price of the upgraded room (as per a previously answered question on booking.com) but there was nothing in the room to operate the aircon unit. I didn't ask about it as most of the time I didn't feel I needed it.

  This hotel is a little gem, the location is fabulous, the size of hotel is ideal, the pool is fantastic, the staff, bar and food is brilliant and the price is spot on. The rooms are basic but clean, the bed and pillows are comfortable, but what I would suggest is that the rooms are in need of an update/refurb and proper thermostatically controlled shower valves should be installed to ensure a nice comfortable shower.

  It is lovely and clean, the pool area is gorgeous with plenty beds and places to sit whether you want sunshine or shade. The bar area is gorgeous and again, has lots of places to sit. The food is absolutely brilliant with a great selection. Would highly recommend and will definitely return!
  
  What could be improved: The aircon in the room had a slightly odd smell when it turned on but opening the balcony door got rid of that quite quickly!

  Firstly the view was amazing breathtaking from sunset to sunrise such a perfect setting a little up the hill from the town and easy walk down but a taxi ride back ..the food was probably the best in Pefkos from breakfast brunch and the evening meals each one was well presented and good generous portions of perfectly cooked food and very reasonable prices .The pool area with the cabana beds were clean and very well maintained along with the pool area and the staff were friendly and helpful .We were in the Queen deluxe room and it was clean and spacious and a great view overlooking the pool we had a very relaxing week here and will be highly recommending this hotel to friends and family and will definitely be returning ..Thank you to all the team for such a great holiday
