You know what struck me first about Pearl Villas Gennadi? It’s actually tucked away from the main tourist chaos – I mean, you’re still on that coastal road between Pilona and Kattavia, but it feels like you’ve found something the guidebooks missed. Gennadi itself is one of those sleepy Rhodes villages where locals still outnumber the tourists, at least outside of peak summer. The property sits close enough to the beach that you can hear the waves at night (honestly, better than any white noise machine), but far enough back that you’re not dealing with beach bar music until 2 AM.

The villas themselves – well, they’re the kind of place that makes you immediately start calculating if you could work remotely from Greece for a month. Each one feels properly private, which is rare these days when hotels cram everything together. The kitchens are actually functional too, not those sad mini-fridges with a hot plate situation you usually get. I loved that they stock local olive oil and basics, so you can hit the little market in Gennadi village (about a 10-minute walk) and actually cook something decent. The pools are individual to each villa, which sounds fancy but really just means you can float around at 7 AM with your coffee without making small talk with strangers. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice place than staying at a hotel – there’s a reception area, sure, but they’re not hovering or pushing spa treatments every five minutes.

What really sells this place though is the location on the southern part of Rhodes that most people completely skip. Everyone’s rushing to Lindos or staying up in Rhodes town, but down here you’ve got some of the best beaches on the island without the crowds. Prassonisi is maybe twenty minutes south if you’re into windsurfing or just want to see where the Aegean and Mediterranean supposedly meet (locals will argue about whether you can actually see the difference, but the beach is gorgeous regardless). The village tavernas are the real deal too – I’m talking about places where the menu changes based on what the fishing boats brought in, not tourist traps with laminated menus in six languages. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, parking’s never an issue, and honestly, with a 9.8 rating you kind of know what you’re getting into quality-wise. It’s pricey for Rhodes standards, but when you factor in the privacy, the location, and not having to fight for pool chairs, it makes sense.

  We stayed in White Pearl which is on the end of the three connected villas closest to Gennadi. We really enjoyed the privacy and being outside of town. No one could look into our pool area.
  
  Gennadi is about 5 km away, so you definitely need a rental car if you stay here. In town there is a supermarket with everything you need. Next to it is an amazing bakery. We enjoyed trying the many different baked goods they offer. Across the street from the bakery is a fruit and vegetable shop. We bought freshly pressed orange juice here every day.
  
  George met us at White Pearl when we arrived. He showed us around the house and answered all of our questions. He even provided snacks, a carton of orange juice, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water as a welcome gift. Every couple of days he brought us some fresh fruit from his garden.
  
  George is a fantastic host. He is very friendly and always helpful but without being intrusive. If you have any questions at all, he is very quick to reply. When we asked for an extra beach chair, he brought it over immediately. He even came over at 22:00 to help us try to find a TV channel showing the soccer game we wanted to watch.
  
  The house and pool were very clean and we really enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend staying here!

  About the outside property. It was a beautiful, clean, private property, has a very nice and clean pool. Very green atmosphere, has lots of beautiful plants and a lot of space to just relax. By the pool there are sunbeds and a little table with chairs. The villa is 3 stories. The kitchen is definitely spacious and has everything you need. (Dishwasher,washing machine ect.) The villa has 3 bathrooms with showers, everything is working and wonderful. The rooms and the villa is very clean and in every room there are conditioners that cool the room. I would really recommend. The owner is the best, he always is assuring if you are okay and if you need anything, brang us cold drinks by the beach👌. The beach is across the road, it is like a private beach i will say. So calm and relaxing and beatiful blue water. It is rocks instead of sand but not a problem with sea shoes. Overall me and my family loved this property and everything! We will definitely be back!

  Très belle villa entièrement équipée avec une magnifique piscine, très belle plage en face de la villa avec transats et parasol mis à disposition par l’hôte Giorgos qui est d’une extrême gentillesse et qui nous a fait goûter les produits de son jardin tomates concombres olives et même une délicieuse moussaka faite maison !

  Der private Strand wahr sehr angenehm:) Ebenfalls haben uns die vielen Terrassen des Hauses gefallen. Der Pool war außerordentlich sauber und hatte eine gute Größe.
  
  What could be improved: Leider steht diese Unterkunft ungefähr 2std von der eigentlichen Hauptstadt entfernt, somit wohnt man mitten im Feld. Der nächste Ort ist Gennadi. Richtig shoppen kann man nur in der Hauptstadt falls dies von Bedarf ist.
