You know what caught me off guard about Pearl of Stegna? I’d been staying in the busier parts of Rhodes and honestly needed a break from all the crowds, so I drove out to this little spot in Kokkinóchoma – it’s technically part of Archangelos but feels like its own world. The moment you pull up, you realize this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s actually more like someone’s incredibly stylish beach house that they’ve decided to share, which I guess is exactly what it is.

The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re right on Stegna Beach, which – and I can’t stress this enough – is one of those stretches of coast that locals have been trying to keep quiet for years. Dark pebbles mixed with sand, crystal clear water, and maybe a dozen other people even during peak season. The Pearl sits literally steps from the water, and I mean that – I could hear the waves from my room, but it wasn’t that overwhelming crash you get at some beachfront places. More like a gentle, constant whisper that actually helped me sleep better than I have in months. There’s easy parking right there too, which anyone who’s driven around Rhodes in summer will appreciate.

What really sets this place apart is how it feels lived-in rather than sterile. The owner clearly has an eye for design – everything’s clean and modern but warm, you know? Lots of natural materials, comfortable furniture that you’d actually want to relax in, and those little touches that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere special rather than just another room. The kitchen in my unit was fully equipped, which came in handy since there’s a small market in Archangelos (about a 5-minute drive) where you can grab fresh fish and local produce. I mean, you could easily eat out – there are a few tavernas within walking distance along the beach – but something about cooking breakfast and eating it on the terrace while watching the sun hit the water felt pretty perfect.

The whole area stays refreshingly quiet even in July, partly because it’s just far enough from the main tourist routes that you have to actually want to come here. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Lindos if you want to do the whole ancient acropolis thing, but honestly, I found myself not wanting to leave. The swimming is fantastic – the water drops off gradually, so it’s great for both lounging and actual swimming, and it stays remarkably clean. I’d get up early, walk straight from the house into the sea, then spend the rest of the morning reading on the terrace with coffee. Simple stuff, but that’s exactly what made it work.

If you’re looking for nightlife or constant entertainment, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to actually relax – like, really decompress – and experience a quieter side of Rhodes where you can hear yourself think, Pearl of Stegna delivers in a way that surprised me. The whole experience felt more like borrowing a friend’s perfect beach house than staying at a hotel, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Location and Effie, the owner, make this property a true gem. The clean and spacious little house is perfectly located and it’s really equipped, Effie checked in with us several times during our delightful stay just to make sure that we had everything we needed – we did.
  Compared to the scene in Lindos, the Pearl of Stegna is an excellent oasis of quiet.
  Stegna’s restaurants and shops are a short distance away, Taverna Maria is outstanding and incredibly cheap.

  Everything was perfect, a lovely breakfast was left for our first morning, and a local bakeries bread to take home. The host Effy made sure we had all we needed. Balcony was perfect for shade when too hot and for early morning sunrise, very peaceful area.

  Where do we start? Effie, the host, is such an amazing and lovely person and she greeted us at the beach house at 10pm after our flight was delayed. Once we had introduced eachother she handed over the keys and insisted that we treat it as our own. The beach house is well looked after and has a really nice finish. It is air conditioned and very clean. It is a small walk away from the main stretch of Stegna which provides many shops and tavernas to eat and drink at. Right infront of the property is a sand and pebble beach and we were allowed to use the beds and parasol provided by the host. We sat almost every night watching the moon rise from the seats on the front porch and was overall a beautiful experience. We would not hesitate to come back to the pearl of stegna!

  Posizione veramente perfetta, in una zona tranquillissima e ad un passo dalla spiaggia.

  Die Lage der Unterkunft ist traumhaft. Direkt am Meer an einem ruhigen Strandabschnitte. Das Appartement war überaus komfortabel. Klimaanlage in Schlaf- und Wohnzimmer, elektrische Rollläden, tolle Küchenausstattung. Zu der Unterkunft gehört ein fester Sonnenschirm am Strand und es wurden Liegen bereitgestellt, echter Luxus. Effie, die Vermieterin, war überaus freundlich und hat sich toll gekümmert. Sie hat uns eine Obstschale und ein paar Lebensmittel für den Anfang bereitgestellt und hat alles getan, damit wir uns wohl fühlen. Absolute Empfehlung!

  Die Lage war der absolute Traum. Die Unterkunft war sauber und hatte alles was man sich für einen schönen Urlaub wünscht. Auf all unsere Wünsche ist eingegangen. Sogar ein Hochstuhl für unser Kind wurde extra organisiert. Rund um perfekt!

  Відпочинок для тих кому подобається спокій та релакс. Апартаменти чудові: нові, сучасні, з усім необхідним, інтер'єр виконаний зі смаком. Фотографії відповідають дійсності. Особливо сподобалася тераса з виглядом на море та прилеглий пляж. Тут було приємно зустрічати схід сонця, попиваючи ранкову каву та організовувати душевні посиденьки по вечорах з келихом вина. Щодо моря, то воно тут вражає багатим підводним світом. Плавання з маскою було невід'ємною щоденною частиною відпочинку. Власниця апартаментів Еффі проявляла турботу про нас, допомагала при потребі з порадами і водночас не була нав'язливою. За що окрема подяка. Даний відпочинок залишиться приємним спогадом…

  Для покращення можна додати в апартаменти праску (а можливо ми її просто не знайшли).

  Tökéletes tengerparti kisház. Mindenhez közel volt, könnyen odataláltunk. A ház teljesen felszerelt, kényelmes , mintha otthon lettünk volna. A terasz és a kilátás tökéletes.
