Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Rhodes, but Palamoutaki Villa in Koskinou honestly caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. You know how sometimes you book a place thinking it’ll be decent enough, then you pull up and think “oh, wow”? That’s exactly what happened here. The villa sits right on that winding road through Koskinou (locals just call it the old village road), and honestly, the setting is just perfect. You’re far enough from the chaos of Rhodes Town to actually hear yourself think, but close enough that you can still hit Mandraki Harbor in about fifteen minutes if you want to.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to keep that authentic Greek island feel without sacrificing comfort. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of calm – maybe it’s the way the light filters through those traditional shutters, or how everything feels substantial and well-made rather than thrown together for tourists. The owners clearly put thought into the details, and you can tell they actually care about the space. I mean, there’s real character here, not just Instagram-ready props. The villa has this lived-in elegance that makes you want to slow down and actually be present, you know? And can we talk about the views for a second? From certain spots, you can glimpse the Aegean stretching out toward Turkey, especially beautiful during those golden hour moments when the whole landscape turns honey-colored.

Koskinou itself is one of those villages that hasn’t been completely overrun yet – you’ll still see elderly Greek women hanging laundry and locals gathering at the tiny kafeneio down the road. It’s real life happening around you, which I find way more interesting than staying in some sterile resort bubble. The villa’s location means you’re positioned perfectly for exploring the eastern coast (Kallithea Springs is literally a few minutes away), but you’re also close enough to Anthony Quinn Bay that you could easily make it your regular swimming spot. Parking isn’t a nightmare like it can be elsewhere on the island, and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no unnecessary complications or upselling attempts. Honestly, if you’re the type of traveler who appreciates staying somewhere with genuine character, where you can settle in and feel like you’re experiencing a slice of authentic Greek island life rather than just passing through, Palamoutaki Villa delivers on that promise. It’s the kind of place that makes you start planning your return visit before you’ve even packed to leave.

  We spent a week in Palamoutaki Villa and were one hundred percent satisfied with the accommodation. The villa is beautiful, spacious, and very well equipped (kitchen appliances, washing machine, air-conditioning, etc.), located conveniently close to not just the airport, but also both Koskinou´s and Rhodos Town´s centers. It has a picturesque garden and private parking, and the restaurants nearby offer easily reachable dining possibilities. Overall, we have been very impressed with the high-quality accommodation, as well as the excellent and warm hospitality shown by our lively hosts. Perfect for families or groups of friends! Would highly recommend!
  
  P.S.: the only improvement we would suggest is the installation of bedside lamps in the bedrooms for the reading convenience of bookish guests 🙂

  We highly recommend this charming, fully equipped apartment located near a picturesque village with a variety of tavernas. The host family was incredibly hospitable and responsive to all our inquiries, making us feel genuinely welcome.
  We especially appreciated the comfortable beds and the lovely BBQ spot in the garden. Its convenient proximity to Rhodos Town and beautiful beaches made for easy and enjoyable short rental car trips.

  great property for large groups and families. facilities great, great outdoor area for kids to play in, friends to meet at night on patio and barbecue. location is amazing, away from the crowded center in peaceful village but still very close to Rhodes center – 8 min drive and rest of the beaches in filiraki, 15 mins away. the hosts very welcoming and warm and go the extra mile to make the trip comfortable from food in fridge when we arrived late for next morning provided by host and regularly following up and brining food items to the house and every request was answered and handled promptly
