Hotel Description

So I stumbled across Orange Hotel during one of those late-night booking sessions where you’re just scrolling through options in Rhodes, and honestly? Best accidental find I’ve made in ages. The place sits on Ierou Lohou street in Ialyssos – which, by the way, most people just call Ialisos because let’s be real, Greek spelling is wonderfully confusing – and it’s got this understated thing going on that I really appreciate.

Here’s what actually matters: you’re about a 10-minute walk from decent beaches, but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night. The staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing, which sounds like basic stuff but you know how rare that’s getting these days. I mean, the check-in guy remembered my name the entire week I was there, and not in that forced hotel training way – he just seemed like he actually wanted to help. The rooms are clean without being sterile (there’s this nice balance where everything works but doesn’t feel like a showroom), and the AC is strong enough to handle those brutal July afternoons when the sun turns everything into an oven.

What I didn’t expect was how much I’d end up hanging around the hotel itself. The pool area has these spots where you can grab shade when you need it, and the whole setup just feels… comfortable, I guess? Not trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect, just a solid place to unwind. You’ll hear some airplane noise since you’re not far from the airport, but it’s more of a gentle hum than anything disruptive – actually kind of reminded me you’re on an island, which isn’t the worst thing. The breakfast spread is better than it needs to be for a 4-star place, and they’ve got local honey that’s absolutely worth getting up for. Parking was never an issue when I had a rental car, which anyone who’s driven around Greek islands will tell you is basically a miracle. The whole Ialyssos area is pretty chill compared to Rhodes town – you’ve got tavernas within walking distance that locals actually eat at, and if you want to explore the more touristy stuff, it’s a quick bus ride or drive away. Orange Hotel just sort of gets the balance right between being a place to crash and being somewhere you don’t mind spending time. Nothing groundbreaking, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Two balconies, giving choice of sun or shade at any time of day. Great location near beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Traffic and other noise minimal.

  Everything was perfect, the host was nice, the accommodation was super, clean, comfortable, close to the beach, but also to life. There is also a store next door, with a very nice owner.

  Amazing service from the host. Apartment was super clean and fresh with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Loved the east and west facing balconies. A good opportunity to watch the sunset whilst enjoying a nice beer. The host very kindly provided a transfer to the airport at the end of my stay. Hope to see you guys soon!

  It was really clean and comfortable. Really good value for low price. Property has few supermarkets meters away and is on the main street for the restaurants. Owners was very kind and always ready to solve any problems. They even allowed us to check out later 🙂

  Отдыхали семьёй в августе месяце очень понравилось расположения жилья ( близко к морю, близко к центральной улице). Условия проживания очень комфортные, всё очень чисто, в наличии полотенца, рабочий кондиционер есть кухня при желании можно готовить, стиральная машина, и очень приятные хозяева (хозяин даже предложил подвезти в аэропорт)
