Hotel Description

You know what really struck me about the Omiros when I first walked up? It’s right there in the heart of Faliraki’s main square, but somehow it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in the middle of a tourist circus. I mean, don’t get me wrong – you’re definitely in the thick of things, with all the tavernas and shops literally at your doorstep – but the hotel itself has this sort of calm, collected vibe that I honestly wasn’t expecting from a place so centrally located.

The thing about staying right on the main square is that you can actually walk to everything that matters. The beach is maybe a five-minute stroll (and I’m talking about a proper sandy beach, not some rocky cove), and if you want to hit up the nightlife later, well, you’re already there. But here’s what I found interesting – despite being in such a buzzy location, the rooms are surprisingly quiet. I stayed there in July, which is peak madness season, and I was worried about noise, but they’ve clearly thought about soundproofing. The air conditioning actually works too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get that wrong.

What really sets the Omiros apart, though, is the staff – they genuinely seem to know their stuff about the area. The guy at reception (I think his name was Nikos?) pointed me toward this little family-run place for dinner that wasn’t on any of the tourist maps, just tucked away on one of those side streets behind the pharmacy. And the housekeeping is spot-on – I left my room looking like a tornado hit it most days, and they somehow made it perfect again without moving my stuff around or making it feel sterile. The breakfast spread is actually worth getting up for, which is saying something when you’re on vacation. They do this Greek yogurt with local honey that’s honestly addictive, and the coffee is proper strong, not that watery hotel stuff. I noticed they change up the selection throughout the week too, so you’re not eating the exact same thing every morning. The whole place just feels like someone’s paying attention to the details without making a big show of it, you know?

  We met the nicest people here. Anastasia and her family treated us like family. The room was clean and perfect, cleaned every day by Maria, to whom we would like to thank, we received new towels every day. We could take rubber mattresses and beach towels to the beach from Anastasia. He helped us with everything and we are grateful for that. It was the best experience of our lives. The beach is 2 minutes away, as is the bar street. See you next year! <3

  The host was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
  The room whilst basic had everything we needed and AC worked great which was needed as it was so hot.
  The location the beach was perfect only over the road.

  Host Anastasia was so helpful and kind to me and checked to make sure I had everything I needed. The location was exceptional, and the room was exactly what I was looking for. It was clean and the host has thought about lots of little things to make you feel more comfortable – water in the room on arrival which I needed after a long trip and arrival late at night, mosquito tablets and hairdryer etc. I would definitely stay again, thank you.

  The location is perfect, close to everything – beach, bus stop, restaurants. Anastasia is extremely helpful and kind. The room was cleaned every day and it was sparkling clean.

  We had a great stay! Lovely host, Anastasia was very helpful about everything. It’s very close to the beach and nice restaurants, and they have towels and umbrellas in the accommodation to take to the beach, which is very useful.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing that is a little inconvenient is a small shower, so it’s hard not to spill water everywhere.

  The location is perfect – half minute to the beach, half minute to restaurants and tavernas. The room is nice, the host Anastasia is super hospitable and friendly. Will definitely come back!
